LEGO 41397 Juice Truck

LEGO Audio & Braille Building Instructions for the LEGO Friends set "Juice Truck".

In this set we will build Emma's awesome juice truck. Andrea and a pair of dolphins also are included. We will build a small sun lounger for Andrea to relax in while Emma serves a fresh fruit smoothie.
The box cover shows a beach environment. Emma is standing in her truck, busy blending fruit for juices. Andrea is ready for buying one and might afterwards relax on the sun lounger under the small palm tree. Andrea also brought her camera and surfboard. Both girls are looking out to the sea where the 2 dolphins are jumping up from the water.
Open the box. This can be tricky; ask someone to help you!
The box contains a booklet with visual building instructions, and 2 numbered bags. The big piece for the juice truck also lies loose in the box.

First, ask a sighted person to help you find bag 1 and open it. To make it easier to find the right pieces during building, you might also ask the person to help you sort the pieces by color.


Now, we will build Emma.

Find 1 aqua blue Minidoll pair of legs with skirt.
Find 1 light nougat brown Minidoll upper body.
Put the upper body on top of the legs.
Emma's wearing a blue swimsuit with an aqua blue pattern. She's wearing her skirt over the swimsuit and has dark blue shoes on.
Find 1 light nougat brown head.
Put it on top.
Emma has brown eyes and smiles with her light pink colored lips.
Find 1 black hairpiece with tied-back bangs.
Put it on top.
Find 1 transparent raspberry red pair of sunglasses with stick.
Put it horizontally on top of the hairpiece.
Now you have built Emma. Very well done. You might also find the very small dolphin for Emma to play with.

Next, we will build the juice truck. It is teal, white and pink and has a pineapple and small leaves on the roof. It is open on one side where the desk for blending and serving juices will be mounted.

Collect the following 2 pieces:
1 medium azure blue and dark stone grey car chassis 6x16 with four wheel arches. It is loose in the box;
and 1 earth blue brick 1x4.
Place the car chassis horizontally on the table. Put the brick vertically on the lower part of the car chassis on the rightmost edge.
Find 2 bright yellowish green tiles 1x4 with bow.
Put one horizontally on the back row of the lower part to the left of the previous piece.
Repeat symmetrically on the front row of the lower part.
Find 1 white foot plate 1x2x1. It is like a wall element, but with a partition in the middle.
Put it vertically centered on the lower part of the car chassis on the rightmost edge, side plate to the right.
This is where Emma's feet can be attached when she drives the truck.
Find 1 bright yellow flat tile 2x2.
Put it to the left of the previous piece.
Find 1 bright yellow wall element 1x2x1.
Put it vertically to the left of the previous piece, site plate to the left.
Find 1 medium nougat brown decorated flat tile 1x4.
Careful, this can be a bit tricky. Turn it upright and put it horizontally centered on the front side surface of the car chassis.
The tile is decorated like a wooden board that is nailed onto the truck with four crooked nails.
Find 1 medium nougat brown flat tile 1x4.
Now, before putting it on, turn the whole structure left to right. Then turn the tile upright and put it horizontally in the middle on the front of the car chassis.
Find 2 earth blue bricks 1x4.
Before putting them on, turn the whole structure right to left again.
Now put one brick 1x4 vertically on the lower part of the car chassis on the leftmost edge.
Put the other one horizontally centered on the front row of the lower part.
Find 2 transparent red flat tiles 1x2.
Careful, these pieces are put on in a special orientation. We will put them on the left side surface of the structure.
Put one upright vertically on the left side of the structure on the backmost two knobs.
Repeat symmetrically at the front.
Find 2 medium stone grey flat grille tiles 1x2.
Put them upright horizontally on the top knobs between the previous pieces.
Find 1 earth blue tile 1x4 with bow.
Put it upright horizontally below the two previous pieces.

Next, we will make a small build for the cash register.

Find 1 earth blue brick 2x2.
Find 1 medium stone grey roof tile 1x2 with decoration.
Put the roof tile vertically on the leftmost column of the brick, slope to the front.
This is a keypad for the till.
Find 1 dark green flat tile 1x2 with decoration.
Put it horizontally on top.
This is a bank note with the number 100.
Skip one column from the left on the lower part of the structure, and put the small build on the two back rows.
Find 1 white brick 1x2.
Put it horizontally on the back row on the higher part of the structure on the rightmost edge.
Find 1 white brick 1x4.
Put it vertically in front on the rightmost column.
Find 1 black and bright yellow small steering wheel with plate 1x2.
Put it vertically centered to the left, side plate to the right.
Collect the following 2 pieces:
1 pale ocher yellow plate 2x6 with 2 round corners,
and 1 white brick 1x4.
Put the brick horizontally on the front row on the rightmost edge.
Skip one knob to the left, and put the plate with 2 round corners horizontally on the front two rows, round corners to the front.
Find 1 transparent wall element 1x2x2.
Skip two knobs on the front row from the right, and then put it on horizontally, flat side to the front.
Find 1 transparent windscreen 2x6x2.
Turn it vertically and put it on the rightmost column, slope to the right.
Find 3 transparent wall elements 1x4x3.
Put them horizontally to the left on the backmost row, flat side to the back.
Find 2 white bricks 1x2.
Put one horizontally to the left on the back row.
Repeat symmetrically at the front.
Find 2 bright yellowish green plates 2x2 with 1 knob.
Put them centered on the leftmost edge.
Find 1 white wall element 1x2x3 with decoration.
Skip 2 knobs from the left on the front row, and then put it on horizontally, flat side to the front.
The decoration shows the menu for smoothies and juices you can buy. It is a chalk board with a wooden frame.
Find 2 bright purple plates 2x6.
Put one vertically on top of the previous piece overhanging to the back, and connect it to the wall element at the back.
Put the other one vertically on the second column from the right on the higher part of the structure. It connects the wall pieces at the front and back.
Find 2 white roof tiles 2x1x2.
Put one horizontally on the back row on the leftmost edge, slope to the left.
Repeat symmetrically at the front.
Find 2 white plates 1x2.
Skip three knobs from the left, and then put one horizontally on the back row.
Skip three knobs from the right, and put the other plate horizontally on the back row.
Now, we will make a small build.
Find 1 white plate 2x4.
Put it horizontally on the table.
Find 1 bright yellow plate 1x4.
Put it horizontally on the back row.
Now, place the build between the two previous pieces in the middle, one row overhanging to the back.
Find 3 bright purple one-stepped curve tiles 2x2.
Put them on the rightmost column, slopes to the right.
Find 3 bright purple one-stepped curve tiles 2x2.
Put them on the leftmost column, slopes to the left.
Find 1 bright purple flat tile 1x2.
Put it horizontally in the middle of the back row, in front of the overhang at the back.
Find 2 bright purple flat tiles 1x4.
Put them horizontally to the left and right of the previous piece.

Next, let's build the front end of the juice truck.

Find 1 teal blue curve plate 4x6 with 4 knobs and decoration.
This shows the front of the truck with the headlights and the front bumper. It also includes some flower details.
Put it horizontally flat on the table.
Find 1 bright purple round tile 2x2.
Put it on top on the 4 knobs.
Now, put the build upright on the right side surface of the structure, flower decoration to the top. Ask a sighted person to help you with the decoration.

Now, we will build the blender.

Find 1 bright yellowish green round tile 2x2 with middle hole.
Find 1 transparent glass case.
Careful! This piece is put on in a special orientation. Turn it knob-side down and put it into the middle hole of the round tile.
Find 1 purple violet cherry.
Find 1 bright yellowish green cherry.
Put the cherries into the glass case.
Find 1 transparent curved disk 2x2. This is the lid of the blender.
Turn the disk upside down so that the smooth surface is up, and put it on the glass case.
Very good job! Now you've finished the blender.
Put the blender on the two frontmost rows, two knobs from the left.

Next up, we'll build a small pineapple.

Find 1 bright yellow head, decorated as a pineapple.
Find 1 dark green flower 1x1.
Put the flower on top.
Voila, you've made a pineapple.
Put the pineapple on one of the knobs next to the blender.

Next, we will make a delicious smoothie.

Find 1 transparent wine glass.
Find 1 light purple decoration top 1x1.
Put it on top of the wine glass. And now you've got yourself a delicious smoothie.
Put the smoothie next to the blender and the pineapple.
Find 2 bright yellowish green round bricks 1x1 with 3 bamboo leaves.
Put one on the frontmost knob at the top left of the structure, leaves overhanging to the front.
Put the other one symmetrically on the right.

We are now going to build 4 wheels.

Find 1 white wide rim with hole and spokes.
Find 1 black wide rubber tire with high profile.
Insert the rim into the tire.
Great job, now let's build the other 3 wheels.
Find 3 black wide rubber tires with high profile,
and 3 white wide rims with hole and spokes.
Insert the rims into the tires.
Now, click the wheels onto the 4 side connectors on the chassis, spokes facing outwards.
The juice truck is now nearly finished. Very well done! It still needs some details, the bricks for those are in the next bag.

Next up is bag 2. Ask a sighted person to help you find it. In bag 2 you will find all bricks and pieces for Andrea, a small beach section and some smaller parts for the set. Open it carefully, and have the bricks sorted by color again if you like.


First, we will make a small crate for the fruit.

Find 1 medium nougat brown crate 3x4 with handholds.
Put it on the table.
Find 1 bright yellow banana.
Find 1 bright red apple with leaf.
Put the banana and the apple into the crate.
Very well done. You now have a fruit crate. Place it into the open space on the left side of the truck. There are 2 knobs on which you can mount the crate.

Now, we will build a pineapple for the roof of the truck.

Find 1 bright yellow brick 2x4x2 with bows and 4 knobs. It is decorated with a pineapple pattern.
Put it horizontally on the table.
Find 1 bright yellowish green bush.
Put it on top.
Now, put the pineapple horizontally centered on the two back rows on the higher part of the structure.
The truck is finished! Good job! Now Emma can start the trip to the beach where customers may be waiting for her to make juices and smoothies.

Now let's get Andrea's basket ready for going to the beach.

Find 1 flame yellowish orange bag basket. It is grooved and has two handles.
Find 1 black camera.
Put the camera in the basket.

Now, it is time for making Andrea.

Find 1 purple violet Minidoll pair of legs with skirt.
Find 1 medium nougat brown Minidoll upper body.
Put the upper body horizontally on top of the legs.
Andrea's wearing a dark blue and teal bikini top with golden straps. She's also wearing a pink skirt and dark blue sandals.
Find 1 medium nougat brown head.
Put it on top.
Andrea has brown eyes and a nice smile.
Find 1 dark brown curly hairpiece.
Put it on top.
Find 1 flame yellowish orange flower with stick.
Careful! The flower is put on in a special orientation.
Turn the flower upright, and mount it on the right side of the hairpiece.
Find 1 bright yellowish green surfboard with 2 knobs.
Put Andrea on top of the 2 knobs.
Now Andrea is finished, and ready for surfing. Very well done!
Find 1 baby blue dolphin.
Now the dolphin is ready to join Andrea in the water.

Now it's time for making a small beach environment.

Find 1 pale ocher yellow ½ circle plate 4x8.
Put it horizontally on the table, flat edge to the back.
Find 1 reddish brown round pillar 1x1x6.
Put it on the back row in the right corner of the plate.
Find 1 bright yellowish green finger leaf.
Put it on top, clasp to the right.

Now, let's make a small beach table.

Find 1 white inverted dome 2x2 with 1 knob.
Put it knob-side down on the table.
Find 1 bright purple round plate 2x2 with 1 knob.
Put it on top.
Find 1 transparent raspberry red Minifigure mug.
Put it on top.
Now, place the table on the back row, third knob from the right.

Next, we will build the lovely sun lounger.

Find 1 bright purple plate 2x4.
Put it horizontally on the table.
Collect the following 2 pieces:
1 earth blue flat tile 2x3 with 2 clasps,
and 1 white foot plate.
Put the foot plate vertically on the leftmost column, side plate to the left.
Put the flat tile horizontally to the right, clasps to the right.
Now, let's build the backrest.
Find 1 white plate 1x2 with side handle.
Put it vertically on the table, side handle to the left.
Find 1 teal blue one-stepped curve tile 2x2.
Put it on top of the plate, curve to the right.
This is the backrest.
Clip it into the clasps on the right side of the sun lounger and fold up the backrest.
Put the sun lounger on the two front rows of the structure, skip one knob from the left.
Now you have finished the beach environment. Very good job! And actually you have finished the whole set. Time for play if you like.

Cool off and hang out at Emma’s juice truck. She’s whizzing up a fabulous blend of fresh fruit and good times at Heartlake City Beach. Help her prepare the fruit and serve the customers. Or relax with Andrea as she chills on her sun lounger, sipping on a smoothie. What’s that in the water? A pair of dolphins have come to say hello!
