LEGO 76946 Blue & Beta Velociraptor Capture LEGO Audio & Braille Building Instructions for the LEGO Jurassic World set "Blue & Beta Velociraptor Capture". Check out this fantastic playset, inspired by the Jurassic World Dominion movie. It features Maisie and Rainn Delacourt Minifigures, dinosaurs Blue and Beta, a truck, bike and a dinosaur cage with a trap, plus a chicken drumstick to use as dinosaur bait. So get building and then play out your amazing action-adventure stories. On the box cover, Maisie is shown in the top left corner doing a cool stunt: she is on her bike in mid-air, jumping off the bike ramp. The red truck with white sides is parked to her left. Below the bike action, Rainn is releasing Beta, the baby dinosaur, from the cage. He is holding his tranquilizer gun just to be sure. The dinosaurs seem friendly at the moment, but never underestimate a velociraptor! In the bottom right corner, blue is waiting for her offspring to join her. The backdrop of this scene is a beautiful landscape scattered with rocks and lush bushes and huge mountains in the background; there is a river running from the mountains all the way to the bottom right corner where Blue is waiting. In the bottom left corner of the box cover, there are portraits of all four characters: Blue, Beta, Rainn and Maisie. The golden Jurassic World Logo with a black T-Rex silhouette is in the top right corner. Open the box. This can be tricky; ask someone to help you! The box contains 1 booklet with visual building instructions, 2 bags with numbers printed on them as well as 1 unnumbered bag with all dinosaur parts. Ask a sighted person to help you find the correct bag! Carefully open bag number 1. This bag contains all bricks and pieces for the Maisie Minifigure, the dinosaur cage, the bike and the bike ramp. Before you start building, ask a sighted person to help you sort the pieces by color. This makes finding the correct pieces even easier! First, we build the Maisie Minifigure. Collect the following 2 pieces: 1 olive green and black upper part of the body, and 1 earth blue pair of legs. Put the upper body on top of the legs. Collect the following 2 pieces: 1 light nougat brown head, and 1 reddish brown and black hairpiece with long curly hair and beanie. Put the head on the body. Put the hairpiece on the head. The beanie points to the back, the hair falls over the chest towards the front. Open the unnumbered bag with the dinosaur parts in it. This bag contains all pieces for the two dinosaurs called Blue and Beta. It is not necessary to mix these pieces with the pieces from bag 1. Just use the dinosaur parts in the next steps. Now, we will build the mother dinosaur named Blue. Collect the following 2 pieces: 1 black friction connector peg 2m with middle ring, (2m means that this piece is about 2 knobs long) and 1 medium stone grey dinosaur body. The dinosaur body has a long tail on one end, 4 top knobs and one neck with hole on the other end. Hold it so that the tail is to the right. Insert the connector peg into the top hole on the left edge from the top. Next, we assemble Blue's head. Collect the following 2 pieces: 1 medium stone grey dinosaur head, and 1 medium stone grey and pale ocher yellow dinosaur jaw with teeth. Snap the jaw onto the head from the bottom. The jaw has to little bumps that fit perfectly into two little notches on the head. If done correctly, you can open and close the dinosaur jaw towards the bottom. Blue's head has a hole at the bottom. Put this hole on the connector peg on the dinosaur body, snout to the left. Collect the following 2 pieces: 1 medium stone grey left dinosaur leg, and 1 medium stone grey right dinosaur leg. Make sure you don't confuse them with the dinosaur arms. The legs are bigger and have 3 large claws each. There are 2 holes on each side of the dinosaur body. Identify the holes that are closer to the tail on each side. Insert the connectors of the legs into these holes on the sides of the body. Make sure the knees bend towards the head, and also the claws point towards the head. If this does not work, try switching the two legs. Collect the following 2 pieces: 1 medium stone grey and black left dinosaur arm, and 1 medium stone grey and black right dinosaur arm. Insert the connectors of the arms into the holes that are closer to the head. Make sure the elbows bend down. If this does not work, try switching the two arms. Find 1 medium stone grey baby dinosaur figure. The 2 dinosaurs Blue and Beta are finished! Well done! Their appearances are more or less identical: they are medium grey velociraptor dinosaurs with a black marking on their left and right sides starting behind the eyes, leading all the way to the tip of the tail. There are fine yellow markings around those main black lines, and they have similar yellow markings on their thighs. Their eyes are bright orange. Let them roam the wilderness and see how fast they can run! Now, let's assemble the bike. Find 1 medium stone grey bicycle frame. Next, we will make the 2 bicycle wheels. Collect the following 4 pieces: 2 black rubber tires with high profile, and 2 silver metallic rims with pins and spokes. Put the rubber tires around the rims. Take the bicycle frame: there are two fork clasps below the handlebar, and two fork clasps below the luggage carrier. Snap the pins of the wheels into those fork clasps. The bike is finished! Great job! Maisie can take it for a spin now! Next, we will build the dinosaur cage. Collect the following 2 pieces: 1 dark green plate 2x4, and 1 reddish brown plate 2x2. Put the plate 2x4 horizontally on the table. Put the plate 2x2 on the 4 middle knobs. Find 2 dark green plates 1x2 with 2 vertical clasps on long side. Careful, do not confuse these parts with the plates 1x2 that have only one vertical clasp each. Put 1 vertically on the rightmost column, clasps overhanging to the right. Repeat symmetrically on the left. Find 4 black plates 1x2 with vertical clasp on long side. (These plates only have 1 clasp each.) Put 2 horizontally next to each other on the back row, clasps to the back. Repeat symmetrically on the front row with the 2 remaining pieces, clasps to the front. Collect the following 3 pieces: 2 medium stone grey plates 1x3 with 2 knobs, and 1 pale ocher yellow plate 1x2 with 1 knob. Put 1 plate 1x3 horizontally on the back row, starting from the left edge. Put the other plate 1x3 horizontally in front of the previous piece. Put the plate 1x2 vertically on the rightmost column. Find 1 dark orange chicken drumstick. (The drumstick has a little pin at the back.) Insert the pin of the drumstick into the knob of the previous piece. Make sure the bony half is towards the left. Find 2 medium nougat brown lattice elements 3x4x1. The lattice elements have 4 short bars and 2 long bars each. Pay close attention to which bars are used during building. Hold 1 horizontally so that one of the long bars is facing you. Snap the leftmost of the 4 short bars into the clasps on the right edge of the build. If done correctly, you can now fold the lattice up and down. Repeat symmetrically with the 2 clasps on the left side. During the upcoming steps, you can always fold the already mounted lattices up or down, whatever makes building easier for you. Find another 2 medium nougat brown lattice elements 3x4x1. Again, hold one horizontally. Now snap one of the two long bars into both clasps pointing to the back. Repeat symmetrically at the front. Now, we make 2 cage decorations. Collect the following 4 pieces: 2 dark green round plates 1x1 with 3 leaves, and 2 reddish brown plates 1x1 with top clasp. You can assemble and attach these small decorations as you wish. Continue for the exact instructions. Put the round plates with leaves on the table, leaves pointing towards you. Put the plates with clasp on top. Make sure the middle leaf and the clasp are aligned in one straight line. The 2 cage decorations are finished! Before you mount them, fold the 2 lattices on the left and right sides down, and the 2 lattices at the front and back sides up. This will make mounting a bit easier. Snap the clasp of one decoration element on the second bar from the left on the front lattice. Make sure the leaves are pointing to the left. Then, snap the second decoration element on the second bar from the right on the back lattice, leaves pointing to the right. Next up, we will assemble the safety chain. First, fold all 4 lattices up so that the cage is closed. Collect the following 2 pieces: 1 dark stone grey open-end wrench, and 1 dark stone grey chain 6m with 2 knobs. (6m means that the chain is about 6 knobs long.) Put the chain on the table and find the two knobs. The narrow part of the knob is the top, the wider part is the bottom. Insert the handle of the wrench into the knob from the bottom. This means that the handle sticks out a little bit at the top of the knob. Find another dark stone grey open-end wrench. Just like before, insert the handle of the wrench into the other chain knob from the bottom. The safety chain is finished! Great job! To mount it, snap one wrench clasp onto the top bar of the front lattice in the right half. Repeat symmetrically on the top bar of the back lattice. The dinosaur cage is finished! Well done! The safety chain makes sure that the cage does not burst open unintentionally or during a high-security velociraptor transport. If you want to open all lattices, take one end of the safety chain off. Next, we will build the bike ramp. Collect the following 2 pieces: 1 dark green plate 4x4, and 1 pale ocher yellow brick 1x2 with 2 side knobs. Put the plate 4x4 on the table. Put the brick 1x2 horizontally on the backmost row, starting from the left edge. Make sure that the side knobs point to the front. Find 1 dark green round plate 1x1 with 3 leaves. Put it horizontally to the right of the previous piece, leaves to the right and back. Collect the following 2 pieces: 1 reddish brown smooth roof tile 1x1 with overhanging top tile 1x1, and 1 dark green round plate 1x1 with 3 leaves. Put the roof tile 1x1 horizontally on the previous piece and the knob to its left, top tile to the left. Put the round plate with leaves to the left of the previous piece. This means it is mounted on the leftmost knob of the backmost row. Make sure the leaves point to the left and back. Now, we will build the ramp barrel. Find 2 reddish brown round bricks 2x2 with top cross hole. Stack them on top of each other. Find 1 reddish brown round tile 2x2. Put it on top. The ramp barrel is finished! We will mount it upright, so first you have to flip it so that the round tile 2x2 is facing you. Then mount the bottom of the barrel on the 2 side knobs pointing to the front. These knobs are in the back left corner. Next, we will build the ramp incline. Collect the following 2 pieces: 1 reddish brown plate 2x2 with bottom hinge pins, and 1 reddish brown plate 1x2 with hinge mounting. Put the plate 1x2 with hinge mounting vertically on the table, hinge notches on the right. Snap the hinge pins of the plate 2x2 into the hinge mounting. Find 1 reddish brown flat tile 2x4. Put it horizontally on the 4 knobs of the previous piece, right half of the flat tile overhanging to the right. The ramp incline is finished! Well done! Mount the base 1x2 to the right of the ramp barrel. The frontmost row remains empty, the ramp incline is extending towards the right. The bike ramp is finished! Great job! Maisie can use this ramp for breathtaking stunts and jumps with her cool bike. Open bag number 2. You can choose to have the bricks sorted by color again. This bag contains all bricks and pieces for the Rainn Minifigure and the pick-up truck. Next, we will build the Rainn Delacourt Minifigure. Collect the following 2 pieces: 1 black pair of legs, and 1 dark stone grey, maroon red and black upper part of the body. Put the upper body on top of the legs. Collect the following 2 pieces: 1 light nougat brown head, and 1 reddish brown hairpiece with medium long hair and middle parting. Put the head on the body. Put the hairpiece on the head. Now, let's assemble the tranquilizer gun. Collect the following 2 pieces: 1 dark stone grey rifle with shaft, and 1 bright yellow injection syringe. Snap the syringe into the clasp at the top of the rifle. Make sure the tip of the syringe is pointing in the same direction as the gun barrel. Snap the bottom shaft of the rifle into Rainn's right hand. The Rainn Delacourt Minifigure is finished! Great job! Rainn is wearing a grey trench coat with decorative stitching and two pockets. He is wearing black pants with a brown leather belt, and a burgundy red shirt with grey buttons and a blue collar. He has a determined, even slightly grim grin on his face. His cheeks and chin are covered with stubble, and next to his right eye there is a tattoo of a black snake. He has dark circles around the eyes, and there are a few wrinkles on his forehead. Rainn is not a person to be trifled with! Handling dinosaurs is his specialty. Next, we will build the pick-up truck. Collect the following 2 pieces: 1 dark stone grey plate 2x14, and 1 medium stone grey plate 2x4. Put the plate 2x14 horizontally on the table. Put the plate 2x4 vertically centered on the four rightmost knobs, symmetrically overhanging to the front and back. Collect the following 3 pieces: 2 dark stone grey plates 2x4 with connector pin on each short side, and 1 black plate 2x8. Put 1 plate with connector pins vertically centered to the left of the previous piece, connector pins to the front and back. Put the plate 2x8 horizontally to the left of the previous piece. Put the other plate with connector pins vertically centered to the left of the previous piece. Collect the following 2 pieces: 1 bright red plate 1x6, and 1 dark stone grey round plate 4x4 with middle hole. Put the plate 1x6 vertically centered on the rightmost column, symmetrically overhanging to the front and back. Careful: Round plates can be a bit tricky to mount. In our case, the knobs will form straight rows and columns in front of you even though the piece is round. Sometimes, you need to wiggle the round piece a little, or slightly change its orientation. You can always ask for help if mounting the pieces is too difficult. Continue for the exact instructions. Put the round plate 4x4 centered to the left of the previous piece. It should be flush with the edges of the plate with connector pins underneath. Now, we build the base of the truck's cabin. Collect the following 3 pieces: 2 bright red plates 1x6, and 1 bright red plate 6x6. Put the plate 6x6 on the table. Put 1 plate 1x6 horizontally on the backmost row. Repeat symmetrically at the front. Find 6 medium stone grey plates 1x2 with side rail. Put 3 of them horizontally next to each other on the previous piece, side rails to the front. Repeat symmetrically at the back, side rails to the back. The base of the truck's cabin is finished! Great job! Keep the current orientation of the cabin base, and mount it centered to the left of the round plate 4x4. Make sure the cabin base is symmetrically overhanging to the front and back. Find 1 dark stone grey round plate 4x4 with middle hole. Put it centered to the left of the cabin base. Collect the following 4 pieces: 2 bright red plates 1x3, 1 dark stone grey round plate 4x4 with middle hole, and 1 pale ocher yellow round plate 2x2. Put the 2 plates 1x3 horizontally next to each other on the two middle rows, starting from the rightmost edge. Put the round plate 4x4 centered to the left of the two previous pieces. This can be quite tricky, so take your time. Put the round plate 2x2 centered to the left of the previous piece. If done correctly, there are 2 empty rows behind this piece and 2 empty rows in front of this piece. Collect the following 4 pieces: 2 black top angle plates 1x2 - 1x2 with 2 side knobs, and 2 reddish brown plates 1x2. Put 1 angle plate 1x2 vertically on the 2 backmost knobs of the rightmost column, side knobs to the right. Repeat symmetrically on the 2 frontmost knobs of the rightmost column. Put 1 plate 1x2 horizontally to the left of the previous piece. Repeat symmetrically at the back. The right knobs of the 2 most recent pieces will move easily. That is fine, just make sure that they are oriented horizontally. Collect the following 3 pieces: 1 dark stone grey round plate 4x4 with middle hole, and 2 medium stone grey one-stepped plates 2x2x⅔ with 2 side knobs. First, identify the round plate 2x2 that is mounted roughly in the middle of the structure. Now, put the round plate 4x4 centered to the left of said piece. Put 1 one-stepped plate on the 3 backmost knobs of the 2 leftmost columns of the structure, side knobs to the left. Careful: The left back corner of this piece is overhanging. Put the other one-stepped plate symmetrically in front of the previous piece, side knobs to the left. Collect the following 2 pieces: 1 medium stone grey plate 2x4, and 1 pale ocher yellow round plate 2x2. Put the round plate 2x2 centered on the lower level of the two previous pieces and 2 knobs to their right. If done correctly, there will be 1 empty column to the left of this piece, and 1 empty row in front and behind this piece. Put the plate 2x4 vertically centered to the right of the previous piece. Find 3 medium stone grey bottom angle plates 1x2 - 2x2 with 4 side knobs. Put 1 vertically on the 2 backmost knobs of the rightmost column, side knobs to the right. Put another one vertically in front of the previous piece, side knobs to the right. Put the last one vertically in front of the previous piece, side knobs to the right. Collect the following 2 pieces: 1 black plate 2x8, and 1 black plate 1x4. Put the plate 1x4 vertically centered to the left of the 3 previous pieces. Put the plate 2x8 horizontally centered to the left of the previous piece. Make sure it is on the 2 middle rows of the structure. Find 2 black corner tiles 1x2 - 1x2. Placing these 2 corner tiles can be quite tricky. Take your time and listen to the upcoming instructions carefully. Ask for help if needed. Put 1 on the table. Turn it so that the outer corner is pointing to the front right. Mount it in this orientation on the rightmost edge, while leaving the backmost knob of the rightmost column empty. Put the other corner tile on the table, outer corner pointing to the back right. Mount it in front of the previous piece on the rightmost edge. Leave the frontmost knob of the rightmost column empty. Collect the following 4 pieces: 2 bright red bricks 2x4x1 with short round mudguard, and 2 bright red plates 1x3. Put 1 mudguard brick horizontally on the third knob from the right at the front, one row and mudguard overhanging to the front. Careful, this piece is only mounted on one knob. Repeat symmetrically at the back, mudguard to the back. Put 1 plate 1x3 horizontally to the left of the previous piece. Repeat symmetrically at the front, to the left of the front mudguard brick. Find 4 bright red smooth roof tiles 1x1 with overhanging top tile 1x1. They will cover the inner rows of the mudguard bricks. Continue for exact instructions. Put 1 horizontally on the back row of the front mudguard brick from the right, top tile to the left. Put 1 horizontally to the left of the previous piece, top tile to the right. If done correctly, these two pieces now hug the back row of the mudguard brick. Repeat symmetrically at the back with the two remaining pieces. Make sure to use the inner row of the mudguard brick. Collect the following 4 pieces: 2 white inverted roof tiles 1x2, 45°, and 2 white plates 1x2. Put 1 plate 1x2 horizontally behind the two previous pieces. Put 1 inverted roof tile 1x2 horizontally to the right of the previous piece, slope to the left. Repeat symmetrically at the front: plate 1x2 horizontally on the outer row of the front mudguard, roof tile 1x2 horizontally to its right, slope to the left. Collect the following 3 pieces: 2 white inverted roof tiles 1x2, 45°, and 1 white brick 1x6. Skip 4 knobs from the rightmost edge, and put 1 inverted roof tile 1x2 horizontally on the backmost row, slope to the right. Repeat symmetrically on the frontmost row. Put the brick 1x6 vertically to the left of the two previous pieces. Next up, we will assemble the front mudguards. Collect the following 4 pieces: 2 bright red bricks 2x4x1 with short round mudguard, and 2 white plates 1x2. Put the mudguard bricks on the table, mudguards to the back. Put the 2 plates 1x2 horizontally on the 2 back rows. This means they are directly next to the mudguards. Leave the leftmost column empty, and mount 1 mudguard brick on the back row, mudguard and 1 row overhanging to the back. Again, this part will only connect to one knob. Repeat symmetrically on the front row, mudguard and 1 row overhanging to the front. Collect the following 3 pieces: 2 pale ocher yellow corner bricks 1x2 - 1x2, and 1 medium stone grey round brick 2x2 with top cross hole. Put 1 corner brick to the right and back of the previous piece. This means it hugs the back right corner of the previous piece. Put the other corner brick behind the previous piece so that it hugs the front right corner of the mudguard brick at the back. Put the round brick 2x2 centered to the left of the two previous pieces. If done correctly, it will sit on the leftmost edge in the middle. Find 2 white bricks 1x2 with 2 side knobs. Put 1 vertically behind the previous piece on the leftmost column, side knobs to the left. Repeat symmetrically at the front. Collect the following 2 pieces: 1 black and medium stone grey small steering wheel with plate 1x2, and 1 pale ocher yellow plate 1x2 with angled top handle. Mount the steering wheel vertically centered on the fifth column from the left edge, steering wheel to the right. This means that it is mounted on the lower part. From there, skip 2 columns to the right, and mount the plate with top handle vertically centered, slope to the left. If done correctly, the steering wheel and the plate with top handle are opposite each other with 2 empty columns in between. By the way: The plate with angled top handle serves as the driver's seat! We will later mount the rear window to its right. Collect the following 4 pieces: 2 white bricks 1x3, and 2 white inverted roof tiles 1x2, 45°. Put 1 inverted roof tile 1x2 horizontally on the backmost row to the right of the back left mudguard brick, slope to the left. Repeat symmetrically on the frontmost row. Put the plate 1x6 vertically to the left of the 2 previous pieces. Put the plate 1x2 vertically centered to the left of the previous piece. Next, we will build the radiator grille. Collect the following 2 pieces: 1 dark stone grey one-stepped plate 2x6x⅔ with 4 side knobs, and 1 medium stone grey plate 2x4. Put the one-stepped plate horizontally on the table, 4 side knobs to the back. Put the plate 2x4 horizontally centered on the front row of the previous piece, one row overhanging to the front. Find 1 bright red plate 1x6. Put it horizontally centered underneath the front row of the previous piece. Collect the following 6 pieces: 2 medium stone grey plates 1x1, 2 transparent smooth roof tiles 1x1x⅔, and 2 transparent bright orange smooth roof tiles 1x1x⅔. The colors of these roof tiles sound similar: 2 pieces are only transparent, the other two are transparent as well but have a bright orange tint. You can choose your own order or listen carefully to the instructions and ask for help if needed. Put 1 transparent roof tile 1x1x⅔ on the backmost knob of the rightmost column, slope to the right. Put 1 transparent bright orange roof tile in front of the previous piece, slope to the right. Put 1 plate 1x1 in front of the previous piece. If done correctly, it will sit on the frontmost knob on the right edge of the current structure. Repeat symmetrically on the leftmost edge: transparent roof tile on the backmost knob and transparent bright orange roof tile on the middle knob, slopes to the left, and plate 1x1 on the frontmost knob. Collect the following 5 pieces: 4 silver metallic grille tiles 1x2, and 1 medium stone grey plate 1x4 with 2 knobs. Put 2 grille tiles 1x2 horizontally next to each other on the backmost row. Put the other 2 grille tiles horizontally in front of the previous pieces. Put the plate 1x4 horizontally centered in front of the previous pieces. Find 2 medium stone grey one-stepped curve tiles 1x2x⅔. Put 1 horizontally on the frontmost row, starting from the right edge, slope to the right. Repeat symmetrically on the left, slope to the left. The last three pieces form the front bumper of the truck. The radiator grille is finished! Great job! Flip it upright and mount it on the 8 side knobs on the truck pointing to the left. Make sure the 4 side knobs of the radiator grille are pointing to the top. The front bumper is at the very bottom. Make sure the edges at the top and on the left and right sides are flush with the truck. Collect the following 3 pieces: 1 bright red hood plate 4x6x⅔ with 2 angled corners and 4 knobs, and 2 dark stone grey plates 1x1 with top clasp. Put the hood plate vertically on the left edge of the structure, 4 top knobs on the right. Make sure that the edges of the hood plate are flush with the truck. Flip 1 plate 1x1 upright and snap its clasp onto the hook at the center front. Make sure the back side of the plate sticks out towards the front. Repeat symmetrically at the back, piece sticking out towards the back. These are your rearview mirrors! Adjust them to so the driver can see well. Now, we will build the rear bumper. Collect the following 2 pieces: 1 medium stone grey plate 1x6, and 1 medium stone grey plate 1x4 with 2 knobs. Put the plate 1x6 horizontally on the table. Put the plate 1x4 horizontally centered on top. Find 2 medium stone grey one-stepped curve tiles 1x2x⅔. Put 1 horizontally on the rightmost edge, slope to the right. Make sure that there are still 4 empty knobs to the left of the windscreen. Find 1 bright red hood plate 4x6x⅔ with 2 angled corners and 4 knobs. (This will serve as the roof.) Put it vertically on top of the windshield, connecting the windshield with the rear window frame. Make sure the 4 top knobs are on the right. Next, we will assemble the 2 right wheels. Collect the following 4 pieces: 2 black wide rubber tires with high profile, and 2 medium stone grey wide rims with hole and spokes. Put the rubber tires on the rims. Snap the 2 wheels on the 2 connector pins sticking out towards the back. Make sure the spokes are facing inwards. Next, we will assemble the 2 left wheels. Collect the following 4 pieces: 2 black wide rubber tires with high profile, and 2 medium stone grey wide rims with hole and spokes. Put the rubber tires around the rims. Snap the wheels on the 2 connector pins sticking out towards the front. Make sure the spokes are facing inwards. The pick-up truck is finished! Great job! The cage fits into the truck bed, so if you need to take Beta to a different location, this is the perfect vehicle for it. But of course you can also use it to transport Maisie's bike equipment or take a look around Jurassic Park. There is lots to see! You have finished building the entire set! Fantastic job, there were some really difficult parts! Now it is time to enjoy a ride through Jurassic Park, see the beautiful scenery, watch all kinds of dinosaurs, either up close or from afar. However, never underestimate the velociraptors: Rainn knows how to handle them, but they are very fast and potentially dangerous creatures. Watch out! And always have the tranquilizer gun ready. Enjoy!
