LEGO 71471-C DreamZzz Mateo's Off-Road Car - Path B (Quadcopter) 

LEGO Audio & Braille Building Instructions for the LEGO set "DreamZzz Mateo's Off-Road Car - Path B (Quadcopter)".

Note: these are the instructions for the quadcopter extension of this set. If you still need to build the main build with Mateo Minifigure and basic glider, or if you would like to build the dune buggy extension, go back to the instructions website and navigate to the corresponding instructions.

If you have already built the buggy extension and would like to rebuild it into the quadcopter now, disassemble the parts used for the buggy extension (with the exception of 2 wheels) and strip down the structure until you are left with the basic glider again. Some of those bricks will be reused for the quadcopter.

If you like, you can ask a sighted person to sort the pieces by color again.

Now, we will convert the basic glider into a quadcopter. Fetch the remaining bricks from bag number 2 and/or the bricks you have previously used for the buggy extension.

First, we will build the rear axle.

Collect the following 2 pieces:

1 transparent bright green short bent tube with cross hole,

and 1 black cross axle 6m. (6m means that this piece is about 6 knobs long.)

Hold the cross axle horizontally. Put the bent tube on its left end, 1/2 overhanging to the left back. Make sure that the tube is pointing towards the back.

Find 1 black cross hole bushing 1m with cross axle pin.

Put it on the cross axle from the right, cross axle pin pointing to the back.

Push it all the way to the left until it touches the bent tube. Make sure that both the cross axle pin and the bent tube are pointing to the back on the same horizontal level.

Before you mount the rear axle, fetch the glider and put it vertically on the table, narrow end pointing to the front, wide end with propulsion at the back.

Insert the long cross axle coming from the left into the cross holes located at the rear of the vehicle below the propulsion, cross axle protruding to the right. The bent tube and cross axle pin are on the left side, both pointing to the back.

Find another black cross hole bushing 1m with cross axle pin.

Hold it vertically, cross axle pin pointing to the back. Put its cross hole on the right end of the long cross axle.

Make sure that both cross axle pins and the bent tube are on the same horizontal level. If that's not the case, take off the bent tube or the cross hole bushing with cross axle pin and adjust the orientation.

Find 1 transparent bright green short bent tube with cross hole.

Put it on the cross axle protruding towards the right, 1/2 overhanging to the back right, tube pointing towards the back. Make sure the left and right sides are symmetrical.

Next, we will assemble the 2 rear engines. If you have already assembled the wheels, skip the next 4 sentences. If not, just continue as usual.

Collect the following 4 pieces:

2 black wide tires with shallow tread,

and 2 medium stone grey wide rims with hole and spokes.

Put the rims into the tires.

Find 2 medium stone grey connector pegs 3m with 2 friction rings.

Put 2 wheels flat on the table, rim side with spokes towards the bottom.

Insert 1 connector peg 3m into the rim hole, 1/3 with friction rings protruding to the top.

Repeat with the other connector peg on the second wheel.

The 2 rear engines are finished! Great job! Before you mount them, turn the glider from left to right so that the low narrow end is pointing to the back, and the high end with propulsion is at the front.

To mount the rear engines, insert the 2 cross axle pins pointing to the front into their connector pegs with friction rings.

Next up, we will build the front axle.

Collect the following 2 pieces:

1 transparent bright green short bent tube with cross hole,

and 1 bright red cross axle 4m.

Hold the cross axle horizontally. Put the bent tube on its left end, 1/2 overhanging to the left back, tube pointing towards the back.

Before mounting the cross axle, turn the glider from left to right again so that its narrow end is pointing to the front again.

Insert the front axle from the left into the cross holes at the front of the structure, directly below the engine hood. Make sure the cross axle is sticking out towards the right.

Find 1 transparent bright green short bent tube with cross hole.

Put it on the right cross axle end, 1/2 overhanging to the right back, tube pointing to the back.

Next, we will build 4 propeller mounts.

Collect the following 8 pieces:

4 pale ocher yellow connector pegs 3m with friction ring,

and 4 white t-shaped round bushings with cross axle pin.

Put 1 t-shaped round bushing on the table, round hole running from top to bottom and cross axle pin pointing to the left.

Insert the short end of 1 connector peg 3m into the round hole of the bushing, friction ring directly touching the bushing, 2/3 protruding to the top.

Repeat with the 6 remaining pieces.

Find 4 white technic bushings 1m.

Put them on the 4 connector pegs sticking out to the top from the previous step. If done correctly, 1/3 of those connector pegs should still be sticking out towards the top.

Find 4 black propellers with 3 blades.

Put them on the 4 connector pegs of the propeller mounts.

The 4 propellers are finished! Well done! Insert their cross axle pins into the cross holes of the bent tubes, propellers to the top.

You have finished remodeling the basic glider into a quadcopter! Fantastic job! Now, Mateo and Z-Blob can go after the Grimspawn and other mischief-makers soaring through the air! Do you think they will be able to get the hourglass back?
