LEGO 71453-C Izzie and Bunchu the Bunny - Path B (Stinger and Wings)
Note that these are the instructions for building wings and a stinger for Bunchu the Bunny. You should build the Main Build of this set first, containing the Izzie and Grimspawn Minifigures as well as Bunchu the Bunny. For instructions to the Main Build, go back to the instructions website and navigate to the Main Build instructions.
If you have already built the Skates and Gloves upgrade for Bunchu, you have to disassemble these now because they use some of the same bricks and pieces as the Wings and Stinger.
First, let's give Bunchu 2 control levers.
Find 2 black joysticks.
Put them on the 2 knobs on top of Bunchu's head. You might have to move Bunchu's ears out of the way first.
They are control levers that Izzie can later use to navigate Bunchu. Turn them so that they move from the front to the back, or in other directions if you like.
Next up, we will build Bunchu's stinger tail.
Collect the following 2 pieces:
1 bright yellow brick 1x2 with 2 side knobs on each long side,
and 1 flame yellowish orange one-stepped inverted curve tile 1x2.
Put the inverted curve tile horizontally on the table, curve to the bottom, higher knob to the left.
Put the brick 1x2 horizontally on the right knob, one half overhanging to the right.
Find 1 flame yellowish orange plate 1x1.
Put it underneath the right half of the previous piece.
Find 1 medium stone grey plate 1x2 with ball cup on short side.
Put it horizontally on the previous piece, ball cup overhanging to the right.
Find 1 bright yellow brick 1x1 with side knob.
Put it to the left of the previous piece, side knob pointing to the left.
Collect the following 2 pieces:
1 flame yellowish orange half-circle tile 1x1,
and 1 flame yellowish orange flat tile 1x2.
Put the flat tile 1x2 horizontally on the 2 left knobs.
Put the half-circle tile to the right of the previous piece, half circle to the right.
Find 2 bright yellow smooth roof tiles 1x2x⅔.
Put 1 upright horizontally on the 2 side knobs pointing to the front, slope to the top.
Repeat symmetrically at the back, slope to the top.
Find 1 black spear tip with 4 fins.
Insert its small bottom shaft into the hollow side knob pointing to the left.
Bunchu's stinger tail is finished! Well done! Remove Bunchu's regular tail (it is located on his back side) and snap the ball cup of the stinger on the ball on Bunchu's back. Make sure the rounded part of the stinger is towards the bottom.
Next, we build Izzie's control stand with 2 wings.
Collect the following 2 pieces:
1 bright yellow plate 2x2,
and 1 bright yellow top angle plate 1x2 - 1x2 with 2 side knobs.
Put the angle plate horizontally on the table, 2 side knobs pointing to the front. (The side knobs are the hollow knobs.)
Put the front left knob of the plate 2x2 on the right knob of the angle plate, the rest of the plate 2x2 overhanging to the right and back.
If done correctly, the two plates are only connected by one knob.
Find 1 bright yellow top angle plate 1x2 - 1x2 with 2 side knobs.
Put it horizontally underneath the front right knob of the plate 2x2, side knobs to the front. If done correctly, the 2 angle plates are in one line.
Find 2 bright yellow plates 1x2 with upward hook on long side.
Put 1 vertically on the right knob of the previous piece, one knob overhanging to the back, upward hook to the right.
Repeat symmetrically on the left, 1 knob overhanging to the back, upward hook to the left.
Find 2 flame yellowish orange one-stepped inverted curve tiles 1x2.
Turn the control stand from left to right. Now, the 4 side knobs should be pointing to the back.
Put 1 curve tile vertically underneath the left edge, curve to the bottom, higher knob to the front. The steps of the inverted curve tile perfectly match the steps on the bottom surface.
Repeat symmetrically on the right.
Find 2 flame yellowish orange plates 2x2 with 1 knob.
Put 1 on the left half of the top surface.
Put the other one on the right half of the top surface.
Find 1 bright yellow plate 1x3 with 2 knobs.
Put it horizontally centered on the 2 previous pieces.
Now, we will assemble the 2 wings.
Collect the following 4 pieces:
2 medium stone grey T-shaped bushings 1m with cross axle,
and 2 dark stone grey connector pegs 1m with knob.
Hold 1 T-shaped bushing so that its round hole is running from top to bottom and the cross axle is pointing to the left.
Insert the connector peg from the bottom into the round hole, hollow knob to the bottom.
Repeat with the 2 remaining pieces.
Find 2 transparent yellow fire blades with cross hole.
Put them on the 2 cross axles. Make sure that the blades are oriented vertically, meaning that their broad sides are facing you.
The 2 wings are finished! To mount them, insert the upward hooks of the control stand from the bottom into the holes of the wings. Make sure the hollow knobs of the wings are to the bottom.
Rotate the wings such that they are pointing to the front left and front right. However, you can adjust their angle to your liking and Bunchu's flying trajectory later.
The control stand with 2 wings is finished! Well done! To mount it, put its 4 side knobs horizontally on Bunchu's back, on the position just below his head.
You have finished plussing up Bunchu the Bunny with wings and stinger! Now, Izzie can hop on the control stand and take off with Bunchu to their next adventure!
