LEGO 60402 Blue Monster Truck
LEGO Audio & Braille Building Instructions for the LEGO City Great Vehicles set "Blue Monster Truck".
Experience the thrill of driving with the LEGO City Blue Monster Truck! This powerful vehicle is built for rough terrain and high-speed action, with huge rubber tires for high-grip cornering and flying jumps. Climb behind the wheel and head to the nearest stadium for epic driving displays that will leave the crowds cheering for more!
The box cover shows the monster truck doing a breathtaking stunt. The scene is clearly taking place in the sandy monster truck arena, and in this very moment, the huge monster truck is balancing only on the edge of one of its front wheels! The other three wheels and even most of the balancing wheel are actually up in the air! What a vehicle! The monster truck has four supersized wheels, a sturdy driver's cabin, and a large external blower for the engine. It is different shades of blue as well as grey and black. The sides are airbrushed with ice-blue flames. Those flames we will later also encounter on the suit of the driver, who is currently busy maneuvering the massive vehicle. In the background of the scene are the spectator stands filled with enthusiastic monster truck fans. The lit floodlight suggests that it is evening or night. Far behind our monster truck, a red monster truck is soaring through the air. It seems to be a show featuring several trucks! But now, let's get started!
Open the box. This can be tricky; ask someone to help you!
The box contains 1 booklet with visual building instructions, 3 bags with numbers printed on them, and 5 loose pieces: 1 plate 2x14 and 4 tractor tires. Ask a sighted person to help you find the correct bag!
Carefully open bag number 1 and any small sub-bags in it. This bag contains all bricks and pieces for the Truck Driver Minifigure and the Monster Truck Underbody.
Before you start building, ask a sighted person to help you sort the pieces by color. This makes finding the correct pieces even easier!
First, we will build the Driver Minifigure.
Collect the following 2 pieces:
1 dark azure blue and earth blue upper part of the body,
and 1 earth blue pair of legs.
Put the upper body on the legs. Make sure the hands and toes are pointing in the same direction.

Put the hair on top.
Now, let's assemble the helmet.
Collect the following 2 pieces:
1 transparent helmet visor,
and 1 black safety helmet with chin strap.
Snap the visor into the opening of the helmet.
The helmet is finished! Whenever the driver is driving his monster truck, he should wear the safety helmet. For now, you can leave the hairpiece on his head though.
The Driver Minifigure is finished! Well done! He is wearing a cool driver's suit in different shades of blue. The trousers are a dark earthy blue and so is the right sleeve of his jacket. The rest of the jacket is bright blue with some dark blue inserts, like the right half of the jacket front. The jacket has a slanted zipper, and on the left half of the front, the dark blue patch turns into dark blue flames. We will see this design on the monster truck too!
Next, we build the Monster Truck Underbody.

Again, put the rims into the tires.
Snap them on the cross axles pointing to the back. Again, make sure that the rim sides with spokes are facing outwards.
The Monster Truck is finished! Fantastic job! To seat the driver in the driver's seat, take off the roof, bend the Minifigure's legs into a seating position and put it behind the steering wheel. Do not push down on the Minifigure too hard to avoid leaving the legs behind when you take it out again.
You have finished building the entire set! Congratulations! It is time to enter the monster truck arena and go wild. What stunts, tricks and breathtaking jumps are you going to do? The sky is the limit!
