LEGO 60280 Fire Ladder Truck
LEGO Audio & Braille Building Instructions for the LEGO City set "Fire Ladder Truck".
Yikes! There's a fire and the flames are getting higher! Join a firefighter and LEGO City TV hero Freya McCloud for action-packed firefighting adventures. Board the awesome fire truck and race to the scene. Unload the equipment from the truck’s storage compartment and activate the fire hydrant. Then raise the extinguisher ladder high into the air and help the LEGO City heroes save the day!
On the box cover, there is a huge fire on the front left. The fire ladder truck is on the right side, its water jet on top of the ladder is used to put the fire. The firefighter Minifigure is standing on the left edge, using a hand-held fire extinguisher to combat the flames, and Freya McCloud is working with the fire hydrant to keep the fire in check. The truck is bright red with the bright yellow fire brigade emblem on its sides. The bottom of the truck is grey, its wheels are black with white rims, and the impressive radiator grille is chrome-plated. The white extinguisher ladder is mounted on the top right, and of course the truck is equipped with a flashing blue light. In the right bottom corner of the box, there is a portrait of Freya McCloud.
Open the box. This can be tricky; ask someone to help you!
The box contains two booklets with visual building instructions, two plastic bags with numbers on them, and 2 loose parts: the truck ladder and the truck bottom.
Carefully open bag 1 and any sub-bags in it. Bag 1 is the larger one of the two bags. This bag contains all bricks and pieces for the Freya McCloud Minifigure and the fire ladder truck.
Before you start building, ask a sighted person to help you sort the pieces by color. This makes finding the correct pieces even easier!
First, we will build the Freya McCloud firefighter Minifigure.
Collect the following 3 pieces:
1 bright yellow head (it has two face prints),
1 black and dark stone grey upper part of the body,
and 1 black pair of legs.
Assemble the Minifigure: put the upper body on the legs, and put the head on top.
Freya has a determined look on her face and some freckles on her cheeks. On the second face print, she is smiling cheekily. She is wearing a trendy light-blue pair of glasses. Her uniform is black with neon-green reflector stripes on knees and chest. Freya is also equipped with a spring safety hook, a security belt, and a temperature gauge.
Find 1 white firefighter helmet with maroon red hair.
Put it on the head.
The Freya McCloud Minifigure is finished! Well done! She is more than ready to take on any fiery challenges ahead. But first we need to build her a sturdy ladder truck!
Next, we will build the fire ladder truck.

Snap the two small bumps on the door into the two door notches on the right, but make sure that the handle is pointing outwards.
Find another dark stone grey ½ door for frame 1x4x3.
Snap it into the other two door notches on the left, again making sure that the door handle is pointing outwards.
Now, mount the part horizontally on the two frontmost rows, starting from the left edge. Make sure the door handles are pointing to the front.
Find 1 bright red window frame 2x4x3.
Before you mount the piece, turn the whole structure left to right. This means that now, the storage compartment that you have already mounted on the truck is in the right back corner.
Now, put the window frame horizontally in front of the storage compartment on the right side.
Next up, we will build the last part of the storage compartment.
Collect the following 2 pieces:
