LEGO Audio & Braille Building Instructions for the LEGO City set "Fire Hazard Truck". |
Emergency! Fire! Help! Join the LEGO City firefighter aboard the cool fire hazard truck and race to the scene. Yikes - the road is blocked with burning wood! It's no problem for this awesome vehicle. Use the truck's steering function to sweep the burning logs aside with its front plow. Then grab the extinguisher to put out the flames. Good work! Another busy day for the LEGO City heroes. |
On the box cover, the fire hazard truck can be seen in full action, pushing three burning logs out of the way with its large white front plow. The logs are literally flying off to the side thanks to the truck's force! The truck's color is blazing red with bright yellow horizontal stripes on its sides, the wheels are black, and on top there is a flashing blue light for emergency rides. But wait, in the right bottom corner of the box cover, there is another log that is still on fire! Let's see if you can get it out of the way before someone gets hurt! |
Open the box. This can be tricky; ask someone to help you! |
The box contains two plastic bags and one booklet with visual building instructions. |
Carefully open both plastic bags, but before you start building, ask a sighted person to help you sort the pieces by color. This makes finding the correct pieces even easier! |
First, we build the firefighter Minifigure. |
Collect the following 3 pieces: |
1 bright yellow head, |
1 black and dark stone grey upper part of the body, |
and 1 black pair of legs. |
Assemble the Minifigure: put the upper body on the legs, and put the head on top. |
Find 1 black and white firefighter helmet. |
Put it on the head. |
Find 1 transparent brown helmet visor. |
Snap it onto the helmet. |
Find 1 dark stone grey megaphone with shaft. |
Put it in the right hand. |
The firefighter Minifigure is finished! Well done! The firefighter has a determined smile on his face. He already has some ash and dust in his reddish-brown beard and on his right temple, but he is ready for new challenges! |
Next, we will build 4 burning logs. |
Let's start with one. |
Find 1 reddish brown round brick 2x2 with top cross hole. |
Put it on the table. |
Find 1 transparent bright orange flame with 5 fire tongues. |
Insert its shaft into the top hole of the round brick 2x2. |
The first burning log is finished! Well done! |
Now, let's build 3 more. |
Find 3 more reddish brown round bricks 2x2 with top cross hole. |
Find 3 more transparent bright orange flames with 5 fire tongues. |
Put them together just like the first burning log. |
The 4 burning logs are finished! Well done! Once your fire hazard truck is up and running, you have all the means to get the dangerous logs out of the way. |
Next, we will build the fire hazard truck. |
Find 1 black plate 2x4. |
Put it horizontally on the table. |
Find 1 dark stone grey wheel bearing 2x4x1 with function block. |
Put it horizontally on the 2 right columns of the plate, function block overhanging to the right. |
Find 1 dark stone grey wheel bearing 2x4x1 with function block. |
Mount it symmetrically on the left. |
Examine one of the function blocks closer: it has a diagonal slit opening towards the bottom. In the middle of this slit is a round shaft. This is where the wheel axles will be snapped on in a later step. |
Find 1 medium stone grey round plate 4x4 with middle hole. |
Put it centered on the two previous pieces. |
Find 2 black wheel axles 3m with 2 connectors. |
Identify the rounded indentation in the middle of the axle, and hold the axle vertically so that the indentation is to the top. Snap the indentation onto the shaft of the function block from the bottom right. |
Repeat symmetrically on the left. |
Find 1 bright red plate 2x2. |
Put it on the rightmost 4 knobs. |
Find 1 dark stone grey top angle plate 1x2 - 2x2 with 4 side knobs. |

Mount the rear bumper on the four side knobs on the right side of the structure. |
Find 1 bright red plate 4x4. |
Put it on top of the right side of the structure. Make sure the plate touches the two plates 1x4 on the left side. They must be flush. |
Find 1 bright red one-stepped curve tile 2x2x⅔. This piece has a small print on it. |
Put it on the left edge of the structure on the middle two rows, curve to the left. |
This piece is printed with the fire station's emblem: the bright yellow silhouette of a badge with a bright yellow flame inside. |
Collect the following 3 pieces: |
1 lemon yellow plate 1x2, |
and 2 bright red plates 1x1 with twin knob collar. |
Put the plate 1x2 vertically to the right of the previous piece. |
Put 1 plate 1x1 vertically behind the previous piece, twin knob collar overhanging at the back. |
Repeat symmetrically at the front. |
Collect the following 4 pieces: |

Repeat symmetrically on the frontmost row. |
Next up, we will assemble the water tank. |
Collect the following 2 pieces: |
1 medium stone grey box casing 2x2x2, |
and 1 white box front 2x2. |
Snap the box front on the two tabs at the bottom of the box casing. |
Find 3 transparent light blue round plates 1x1. |
Put them inside the water tank. |
Great job! Now mount the water tank centered on the right edge of the structure, tank door to the right. |
Now, we will build one of two side elements. |
Find 1 bright red brick 1x2x1⅔ with 4 side knobs. |
Put it horizontally on the table, side knobs to the front. |
Find 1 white dome 2x2 with 1 knob. |
Put the dome upright on the 4 side knobs of the brick. The top knob of the dome is now pointing to the front. |
Mount the side element horizontally on the backmost row, starting from the right. The dome is pointing to the back. |
Now, build a second side element just like the first one: find another bright red brick 1x2x1⅔ with 4 side knobs, and another white dome 2x2 with 1 knob. |
Assemble this side element just like the first one. |

Find 1 white and dark stone grey shooter with shaft, knob and trigger. |
Find the string with knob on the right side of the truck. Put the empty knob on the loose end of the string on the front knob of the shooter. |
Find 1 transparent light blue round plate 1x1. |
Mount it at the other end of the shooter. |
As a final step, snap the handle of the shooter into one of the clasps at the rear end of the fire truck. |
This serves as your water hose! Ready to put some fires out? |
