| LEGO Audio & Braille Building Instructions for the LEGO City set "Construction Bulldozer". |
| This set comes with a cool bulldozer with a trailer. Also included are a cement mixer and a tower with a wrecking ball. The 2 included construction workers are busy tearing down walls and clearing them away. |
| On the front of the box one of the construction workers is driving the bulldozer moving rubble around. He also has a trailer attached to the bulldozer carrying a cement mixer. In the background the other construction worker is sitting in the crane tower swinging the wrecking ball knocking down some wall parts. A sign and 2 cones stand in the construction site as warnings. |
| Open the box. This can be tricky; ask someone to help you! |
| The box contains 2 booklets with visual building instructions and 2 numbered bags. |
| You also have to find 2 grease bands made of rubber. They are loose in the box. |
| Ask a sighted person to help you find and open bag number 1! It is very helpful during building if you get the bricks sorted by color beforehand. |
| First, we will build one of the construction workers. |
| Find 1 bright orange pair of legs. |
| Put it horizontally on the table. |
| Find 1 bright blue and bright yellow upper part of the body. |
| Put it horizontally on top of the legs. |
| The construction worker wears a white shirt with an open blue jacket. The jacket has front pockets and orange reflectors. |
| Find 1 bright yellow head. |
| The head is showing a brown bearded smiling male with a bit of dirt on his face. |
| Put it on top of the body. |
| Find 1 bright red contractor's helmet. |
| Put it on top. |
| Well done, now you're finished building the construction worker. |
| Next, we will build a sign for the construction site. |
| Find 1 dark stone grey flat tile 2x2 with top middle plate 1x2. |
| Put it horizontally on the table, flat tile 2x2 to the bottom, side knobs to the front. |
| Find 1 white decorated tile 2x4. |
| It is decorated with a red triangular sign for construction site, a blue round sign showing the head of a construction worker with helmet. At the bottom there is a red and white striped line. |
| Put it vertically upright on the side knobs, striped end to the bottommost edge. |
| Now you have built the construction sign, good job. |
| In the next part we will build the 2 cones. |
| Find 2 bright orange plates 2x2. |
| Find 2 bright orange nose cones 2x2x2. |
| Put one cone on top of one plate. Repeat with the other one. |
| Now you have built the 2 cones. These are used to keep unauthorized persons from entering the construction area. |
| Now, we will build the bulldozer with trailer. |
| Find 1 black waggon bottom 4x10 with 4 side connectors. |
| Put it horizontally on the table. |
| Find 1 bright yellow brick 1x10. |
| Put it horizontally on the backmost row of the waggon piece. |
| Find 1 medium stone grey plate 2x2 with top cross hole and side ball connector. |
| Turn it horizontally, ball connector to the right. |
| Put it on the rightmost knobs in the middle, the ball connector overhanging to the right. |
| Find 1 bright yellow brick 2x2. |
| Put it on top of the previous piece. |
| Find 1 bright red brick 2x3. |
| Put it horizontally to the left of the previous piece. |
| Find 1 bright red brick 2x3. |
| Put it horizontally to the left. |
| Find 1 black brick 2x2 with side hinge stub. |
| Put it to the left, hinge stub to the left. |
| Find 1 bright yellow brick 1x10. |
| Put it horizontally on the front row of the structure. |
| Find 2 silver metallic plates 1x4 with 2 diagonal top tubes. |
| Put one vertically on the rightmost row. |
| Put the second one vertically to the left of the previous one. |
| Find 1 bright blue plate 2x2. |
| Put it centered on top of the previous 2 pieces. |
| Find 2 black sloped tiles 1x2 with lattice. |
| Put them horizontally on top of the previous 2 pieces, slopes to the left. |
| Collect the following 2 pieces: |
| 1 bright yellow profile brick 1x2, |
| and 1 bright yellow curved brick 1x6 with 2 knobs. |
| Put the profile brick horizontally, on the back row at the rightmost edge. Make sure that the profile running top-to-bottom is facing inwards. |
| Put the curved brick horizontally to the left, curve to the left. |
| Collect the following 2 pieces: |
| 1 bright yellow brick 2x2, |
| and 1 black roof tile 2x2. |
| Put the roof tile on the middle two rows on the leftmost edge, slope to the left. |
| Put the brick to the right. |
| Collect the following 2 pieces: |
| 1 bright blue seat 2x2x2, |
| and 1 black and bright blue small steering wheel with plate 1x2. |
| Put the steering wheel vertically to the right, side plate to the left. |
| Put the seat to the right, backrest to the right. |
| Collect the following 2 pieces: |
| 1 bright yellow profile brick 1x2, |
| and 1 bright yellow curved brick 1x6 with 2 knobs. |
| Put the profile brick horizontally, on the front row at the rightmost edge. Make sure that the profile running to-to-bottom is facing inwards. |
| Put the curved brick horizontally to the left, curve to the left. |
| Find 1 black shovel 4x6x2 with friction fork. |
| Mount it on the hinge stub on the left side of the structure. |
| Find 2 bright yellow flat tiles 1x4, decorated with black stripes. |
| Put them horizontally on top, one on the back row and the other on the front row. |
| Find 2 medium stone grey plates 1x2 with vertical top clasp. |
| Put them horizontally on the remaining knobs on the left, clasps to the right. |
| Find 1 black smooth curved tile 2x2. |
| Put it on top, curve to the left. |
| Find 2 bright yellow wide rims with hole. These will be for the grease band. |
| Mount them on the connectors at the front side of the structure. |
| Find 2 more bright yellow wide rims with hole. |
| Mount them on the back side of the structure. |
| Find 2 black grease bands. They are smooth on the inner side and profiled on the outside. |
| Careful! The mounting of the grease bands can be a bit tricky. Put the grease bands around the rims on each side. |
| Find 1 black driver's cab 4x6x3. It has curved bars and 4 knobs on top. |
| Click one of the bars at the bottom of the driver's cab into the clasps on the top left of the structure. Afterwards, fold the bar on the right down until it touches the structure on the right. |
| This is now the driver's cab of the bulldozer. |
| Find 1 transparent bright orange nose cone 1x1. |
| Put it on one of the knobs on top of the driver's cab. This is the lamp of the bulldozer. |
| The bulldozer is now finished. Very good job! |
| Now, if you open the driver's cab to the left, you can place the minifigure onto the seat; and then close it again. The construction worker is now ready to shovel some soil. |
| Next, we will make a trailer for the bulldozer. |
| Find 1 black brick 2x6. |
| Put it horizontally on the table. |
| Find 2 bright blue plates 2x2. |
| Put one on top at the rightmost edge. |
| Put the second one to the left, but skip one column between the two pieces. |
| Find 1 black plate 1x2 with towing extension 4 knobs long and ball. |
| Put it horizontally on the leftmost column of the structure, towing extension and ball overhanging to the left. |
| Find 1 bright yellow truck bed 4x6x2 with 4 knobs. |
| First, turn it horizontally, and make sure the column with the 4 knobs is on the left side. |
| Then, flip it upside down, knobs to the bottom. |
| Now, turn the whole structure upside down, ball to the left. Mount it horizontally in the middle of the truck bed. |
| Make sure that the ball and the column with the 4 knobs are on the same side. |
| Find 1 medium stone grey bearing element 2x2 with 2 connectors. |
| Put it vertically upside down in the middle, connectors to the front and back. |
| Next, we will make a set of wheels. |
| Find 2 black wide rubber tires with high profile. |
| Find 2 medium stone grey wide rims with holes. |
| Put the rims into the tires. |
| Mount the tires on the two connectors on the bearing element. |
| Now the trailer is finished. Flip it right side up and mount it on the ball connector on the back side of the bulldozer. |
| Good job! Now the construction worker really can bring his bulldozer to the construction site to dig up soil and carry it away. |
| Next, we will make 3 wall pieces. |
| Find 3 medium nougat brown bricks 2x2. |
| Find 3 pale ocher yellow flat tiles 2x2. |
| Put the tiles on top of the bricks. |
| Now you have 3 pieces of soil. You can transport them in the trailer. |
| You are now finished with bag 1. |
| In the next section we will build the second construction worker, the crane tower with wrecking ball and the cement mixer. |
| For this we will need the bricks of bag 2. Ask a sighted person to help you find bag 2. Open it carefully and have the bricks sorted by color again. |
| First, we will build the construction worker. |
| Find 1 bright blue pair of legs. |
| Find 1 bright orange, reddish brown and dark stone grey upper part of the body. |
| Put the upper part of the body horizontally on top of the legs. |
| The construction worker wears a white shirt with an open brown jacket. The jacket has front pockets and orange reflectors. |
| Find 1 bright yellow head. |
| Put it on top. |
| This guy wears glasses and has a nice smile. |
| Find 1 bright red contractor's helmet. |
| Put it on top. |
| The construction worker is now finished. Well done! |
| Now, we will build the crane tower with the wrecking ball. |
| Find 1 sand yellow octagonal plate 10x10 with a hole in the center. |
| Put it on the table. Make sure one of the 4 straight edges is facing you. If put down correctly, the knobs on the plate form columns and rows in front of you. Be careful not to pick one of the 4 diagonal edges. |
| Find 2 medium stone grey roof tiles 2x2. |
| Put them on the rightmost two columns, slopes to the right. |
| Find 1 bright yellow lattice wall 1x6x5. |
| Put it vertically centered to the left of the previous elements. |
| Find 2 black bricks 1x4. |
| Put one horizontally to the left of the previous piece on the third row from the back. |
| Put the other one horizontally to the left of the wall element on the third row from the front. |
| Find 1 bright yellow lattice wall 1x6x5. |
| Put it vertically centered on the third column from the left. |
| Find 1 dark stone grey plate 6x6. |
| Put it on top of the wall elements. |
| Find 2 medium stone grey bricks 1x2 with side clasp. |
| Turn the tower so the roof tiles are facing you. |
| Put them horizontally on the roof tiles, clasps to the front. |
| Find 1 white flat tile 1x4. |
| Put it horizontally on top of the previous bricks. The tile is printed with white and red stripes. |
| Find 1 medium stone grey rotor base plate 2x4 with top connector. |
| Put it horizontally centered on top of the 6x6 plate. |
| Find 2 black plates 1x2 with side shaft. |
| Put one centered on the rightmost edge, shaft to the right. |
| Repeat symmetrically on the left. |
| Find 2 bright yellow flat tiles 2x2. |
| Put one on top centered at the rightmost edge. |
| Repeat symmetrically on the left. |
| Find 1 black lattice 1x4x6 with 2 clasps. |
| Attach it to the shaft on the left side of the tower. Fold the lattice downwards. |
| We are now going to build the crane function of the tower. |
| Find 1 black round brick 4x4 with top hole. |
| Put it on the table. |
| Find 1 bright blue seat 2x2x2. |
| Put it centered on the 4 knobs on the right, seatback to the right. |
| Find 1 medium stone grey plate 2x2 with 2 knobs and top hinge stub. |
| Put it to the left of the seat, top hinge stub to the left. |
| Find 1 dark stone grey smooth roof tile 1x2x⅔. |
| Put it vertically on the previous plate, slope to the right. |
| The tile is printed with two dials. |
| Find 2 bright yellow plates 1x2 with angled top handle. |
| Put one horizontally on the back row, straight edge to the back. |
| Repeat symmetrically at the front. |
| Find 1 bright yellow brick 1x4 with hinge stub and hinge fork. |
| Attach the fork part of the brick on the left of the structure. |
| Find 1 black ball coupling with friction fork. |
| Attach the fork part to the hinge on the left end of the previous piece. |
| Now, mount this build on top of the tower: put the hole of the round brick 4x4 on the connector at the top. Make sure the crane arm is on the left side just as the lattice. |
| We are now going to build the wrecking ball. |
| Find 1 dark stone grey rock 4x4x1⅔ lower part. |
| Put it on the table. |
| Find 1 dark stone grey rock 4x4x1⅓ upper part. |
| Put it on top. |
| Find 1 black round plate 2x2 with 1 knob. |
| Put it on top. |
| Find 1 black chain 6 m. |
| Put one end of the chain on the knob. |
| Put the other end of the chain on the leftmost end of the crane arm. |
| Collect the following 3 pieces: |
| 1 black hammer, |
| 1 black shovel, |
| and 1 dark stone grey hook with ball 1x3. |
| Attach the hammer to the clasp on the lower right side. |
| Attach the shovel to the clasp on the lower left side. |
| Put the hook on the shaft on the right side of the tower. |
| You have now finished the tower with the wrecking ball. |
| You are now going to build 2 narrow and 3 broad wall pieces. |
| Find 3 sand yellow bricks 2x4. |
| Put them on the table. |
| Find 3 pale ocher yellow flat tiles 2x4. |
| Put one on top of each brick. |
| Next, we will build the two narrow wall elements. |
| Find 2 medium nougat brown profile bricks 1x4 with brick carvings. |
| Put them on the table. |
| Find 2 pale ocher yellow flat tiles 1x4. |
| Put one on top of each brick. |
| Great job! You can use these to build walls and demolish them again with the wrecking ball. |
| You are now going to build a cement mixer. |
| Find 1 medium stone grey plate 2x4. |
| Put it horizontally on the table. |
| Find 1 medium stone grey brick 2x2. |
| Put it on top on the right edge. |
| Find 1 bright red plate 2x2 with ½ circle and hole. |
| Put it on top, hole to the right. |
| Find 1 bright red brick 2x2 with side connector and cross hole. |
| Put it on top, connector to the left. |
| Find 1 black plate 1x2 with angled top handle. |
| Put it vertically on the second column from the right, straight edge to the right. |
| Find 1 medium stone grey plate 2x2 with 2 side connectors. |
| Put it on the lower level to the left, connectors to the front and back. |
| Now, we will make 2 wheels. |
| Find 1 black narrow rubber tire with high profile. |
| Find 1 white narrow rim with hole. |
| Put the rim into the tire. |
| Put the wheel on the front connector. |
| Collect the following 2 pieces: |
| 1 white narrow rim with hole, |
| and 1 black narrow rubber tire with high profile. |
| Put the rim into the tire. |
| Put the wheel on the back connector. |
| Now, we'll build the concrete mixer drum. |
| Find 1 bright red round brick 4x4 with top hole. |
| Put it on the table. |
| Find 1 bright red cone 4x4x2. |
| Put it on top. |
| Careful! You will have to mount the mixer drum in a special orientation. |
| Turn it upright. Then, insert the connector on the structure into the hole of the round brick 4x4. |
| Find 1 dark stone grey pneumatic hammer. |
| Insert it into the hole in the plate on the right side of the cement mixer. |
| Find 6 dark stone grey round plates 1x1. |
| Put them into the cone on the left. They are your cement! |
| You have now finished the cement mixer. Nice job! |
| You are now finished building the whole model. Enjoy the play. |
| The LEGO City work crew are busy and need your help. Set up the cones and sign to warn passers by, climb the crane tower and swing the wrecking ball to break down the wall – CRASH! Now jump aboard the mighty bulldozer and operate its big bucket to scoop up the rubble. When you’re done, unload the cement mixer from the trailer and get to work on the new wall. A busy day for the workers in LEGO City! |
