LEGO 43219 Disney Princess Creative Castles

LEGO Audio & Braille Building Instructions for the LEGO Disney Princess set "Disney Princess Creative Castles".

Create Disney Castles for 2 of your favorite Disney Princess characters! This imaginative LEGO Disney set lets you build small castles for Disney’s Belle or Cinderella and their friends Lumiere and Gus, then offers inspiring ways to mix it up. Design the ultimate castle for both Princess characters or come up with something else built from your imagination. There are no limits – only fun times!

The left and right edges of the box cover show a mock-up of the yellow sorting tray included in this set. This mock-up gives a sneak peek of how you can sort the pieces included in this set by color. In the end, you get to decide how to sort the pieces into the different compartments. But this is for much later. The center and main part of the box cover shows a turquoise background with lots of glittery embellishments, and in the center there are Cinderella and Belle in their castles. The two princesses are waving at each other, and they each have a buddy with them! Belle is accompanied by the enchanted chandelier Lumiere, while Cinderella is with her mousey friend Gus. The two castles both have generous archways, 2 side towers and 1 center tower with streamers and beautiful decorations. Cinderella's castle is turquoise, light pink and royal blue while Belle's castle is maroon red, white and lavender. In the lower half of the box cover, some of the additional bricks from this set are depicted: a golden wrought fence piece, a croissant for tea parties, a mirror, a brick with brick carvings, bricks with archways, and much more. In other words: This set not only contains the 2 castle builds and 2 Minidolls with friends, but it also gives you additional bricks for building your own extensions, interpretations and additions to the castles. But first, let's get started with our basic builds!

Open the box. This can be tricky; ask someone to help you!

The box contains 2 posters with visual building instructions, 7 bags with numbers printed on them, a brick separator tool, and 5 loose pieces: 2 archways, 2 plates 6x10 and 1 half-circle plate 10x10.

Carefully open all the bags. Before you start building, we would advise you to ask a sighted person to help you sort the pieces by color. This makes finding the correct pieces even easier!

Of course you can also find your own sorting method: sorting by size, by texture, by type of brick, or whatever you find handy. It's your choice!

First, we will build the Belle Minidoll, Lumiere, and Belle's Castle.

Let's start with the Belle Minidoll with Lumiere.

Note that the upper bodies and heads of the two Minidolls included in this set have identical shapes. They only differ in colors and print. If you are not sure whether you have the correct pieces, ask a sighted person for help.

Collect the following 2 pieces:

1 lemon yellow ballgown skirt (bell-shaped), (This is the skirt element that has more volume, so it is a bit bigger)

and 1 light nougat brown and bright yellow upper body. (Do not confuse it with Cinderella's upper body.)

Put the upper body on the skirt.

Collect the following 2 pieces:

1 reddish brown long wavy hairpiece with bun,

and 1 light nougat brown Minidoll head. (Do not confuse it with Cinderella's head.)

Put the head on the body.

Put the hair on top.

Next, we will assemble Lumiere.

Collect the following 2 pieces:

1 white round brick 1x1, (This piece is printed)

and 1 warm gold three-armed chandelier.

Put the round brick 1x1 on the middle knob of the chandelier. That is the lower knob.

The round brick is printed with Lumiere's face: he has a broad, suave smile on his face that he certainly deems charming but can also be a bit funny. Lumiere is a very nice chandelier though, and one of Belle's best friends in the castle!

Find 3 transparent bright orange single flames.

Insert 1 from the top into the round brick 1x1 and the other 2 into the chandelier knobs on the left and right.

The Belle Minidoll with Lumiere is finished! Well done! Belle is wearing a beautiful golden off-the-shoulder dress; its skirt is embellished with 3 red roses, white ruffles and golden decorative stitching. The bodice has a single red rose in its center and golden decorative stitching in vertical lines. The shoulder bands are also made from white cloth. Belle has dark pink lips, long eyelashes and hazel eyes. She has a friendly look on her face!

Next, we will build Belle's Castle.

Collect the following 2 pieces:

1 warm gold tile 2x4 with round corners,

and 1 bright yellowish green plate 6x10.

Put the plate 6x10 horizontally on the table.

Put the flat tile with round corners horizontally centered on the 2 backmost rows. If done correctly, there will be 3 empty columns each to the left and to the right of this piece.

Find 2 warm gold round pillars 1x1x6.

Put 1 on the leftmost knob of the backmost row.

Put the other one on the rightmost knob of the backmost row.

Find 2 light purple bricks 2x2.

Put 1 directly in front of the previous piece on the 2 rightmost columns.

Repeat symmetrically on the left.

Now, we will make 2 flowers for Belle's garden.

Collect the following 4 pieces:

and 2 bright green round plates 1x1 with 3 leaves.

Put 1 round plate with leaves on the table, leaves pointing to the front.

Put 1 flower piece on top.

Repeat with the other two pieces.

The 2 flowers for Belle's garden are finished! Mount 1 in front of the brick 2x2 on the left edge. The knob with flower piece should be on the second column from the left, directly in front of the brick. Make sure the leaves are pointing to the front left.

Repeat symmetrically on the right, leaves pointing to the front right.

Find 2 white quarter-circle wall elements 2x2x5¼.

Put 1 on the brick 2x2 behind the flower you have just mounted, quarter-circle wall to the front right.

Repeat symmetrically on the left, quarter-circle wall to the front left.

Find 1 light lavender arch door 2x6x6. (This piece has 2 rows of knobs at the top: 1 row with 6 knobs and a second row with 4 knobs. Its arch is pointed.)

Put it horizontally between the 2 previous pieces. Make sure that its back row with the 6 knobs is in line with the front knobs of the 2 previous pieces.

If done correctly, the front row of the arch door will protrude towards the front and is in line with the flowers.

Collect the following 3 pieces:

2 light lavender quarter-arched plates 3x3,

and 1 medium azure blue brick 1x4.

Put 1 quarter-arched plate 3x3 on the left quarter-arched wall element, aligning the shapes of the quarter circles. It will connect said piece with the arch door at the front and the pillar at the back.

Repeat symmetrically on the right.

Put the brick 1x4 horizontally between the two previous pieces on the back row of the arch door.

Find 1 light lavender profile brick 1x4 with brick carvings.

Put it horizontally in front of the previous piece, brick carvings to the front.

Find 2 transparent raspberry red nose cones 1x1.

Put 1 on the backmost knob of the quarter-arched plate on the right.

Repeat symmetrically on the left.

Find 2 maroon red bricks 1x2 with downward half arch.

Mount 1 horizontally on the 2 front knobs of the quarter-circle tile on the right, half arch to the right.

Repeat symmetrically on the left, half arch to the left. If done correctly, the front outer corners of these pieces will slightly protrude.

Collect the following 2 pieces:

1 bright blue plate 1x2,

and 1 white top angle plate 1x2 - 2x2 with 4 side knobs.

Put the top angle plate 1x2 horizontally centered on the front row of the arch door, 4 side knobs to the front.

Put the plate 1x2 horizontally centered behind the previous piece.

Find 2 light purple plates 1x2.

Put 1 vertically to the right of the 2 previous pieces.

Repeat symmetrically on the left.

Find 1 light purple round tile 2x2. (This piece is printed.)

Put it upright on the 4 side knobs pointing to the front.

This purple tile is printed with a beautiful red rose with white outlines, 4 small green leaves at its sides, and it is surrounded by little silver sparkles.

Find 1 maroon red plate 2x6 with 2 rounded corners.

Put it horizontally centered on top of the castle gate, rounded corners to the front. If done correctly, this plate covers the topmost knobs of the 2 front rows of the castle gate.

Find 2 transparent raspberry red nose cones 1x1.

Put 1 on the previous piece's back row on its leftmost knob.

Repeat symmetrically on the right.

Find 1 maroon red tapered roof element 2x4x4 with shingles. (Note that this roof element does not have a window opening.)

Put it horizontally centered between the 2 previous pieces, tapered side with shingles to the front.

Collect the following 2 pieces:

1 warm gold harpoon spike,

and 1 warm gold streamer flag.

Put the streamer flag on top of the castle roof, streamers to the right.

Insert the harpoon spike into the previous piece from the top, spike pointing to the top.

Belle's Castle is finished! Great job! Put Belle and Lumiere in front of the castle gate. They are waiting for their friends, so let's continue building!

Next, we will build the Cinderella Minidoll with Gus and Cinderella's Castle.

First, we will assemble the Cinderella Minidoll with Gus.

Collect the following 2 pieces:

1 light nougat brown and baby blue upper body,

and 1 baby blue long dress skirt (A-line shaped).

Put the upper body on the skirt.

Collect the following 2 pieces:

1 lemon yellow and medium blue hairpiece with bun and hairband,

and 1 light nougat brown Minidoll head.

Put the head on the body.

Put the hair on top.

Find 1 medium nougat brown and bright yellow mouse figurine.

The Cinderella Minidoll with Gus is finished! Well done! Cinderella is wearing a light blue sleeveless ballgown embellished with white sparkles all over. At the bottom, there is a medium blue bow holding up the hem of the skirt, revealing the white underskirt. The bodice has medium blue vertical lines, and the neckline is adorned with woven silvery lines and white butterfly brooches. At the back, the bodice is laced with silvery laces and a silvery bow at the top.

Now, we will continue with building Cinderella's castle.

Collect the following 2 pieces:

1 bright yellowish green plate 6x10,

and 1 light purple flat tile 2x4.

Put the plate 6x10 horizontally on the table.

Put the flat tile 2x4 horizontally centered on the 2 backmost rows.

Collect the following 3 pieces:

2 light purple plates 1x2,

and 1 white arch door 1x6x7 with pillars. (The inside arch of this door is round, and it is only 1 row of knobs wide.)

Put the arch door horizontally centered in front of the previous piece, the rounded sides of the pillars to the front. The arch door is 2 knobs longer than the previous piece, so make sure it extends symmetrically to the left and right.

Put the 2 plates 1x2 horizontally to the left and right of the arch door.

If done correctly, these three pieces symmetrically cover the third row from the back.

Find 2 light lavender bricks 1x2x5.

Put them horizontally on top of the two previous pieces.

Find 2 medium azure blue bricks 1x2x5.

Put them horizontally in front of the 2 previous pieces.

Note that these two will be a bit lower than the 2 previous bricks because they do not have plates 1x2 underneath them.

Find 2 bright blue top angle plates 1x2 - 2x2 with 4 side knobs.

Put them horizontally on top of the 2 previous pieces, side knobs pointing to the front.

Find 2 light purple bricks 2x2.

Put them on the 2 square pillars we have built on the left and right edge.

Find 2 white flat tiles 2x3 with arrow-shaped end. (These tiles are printed.)

Put 1 upright vertically on the 4 side knobs pointing to the front on the right pillar. Make sure the arrow-shaped end is pointing to the bottom and the top edge is flush with the top side knobs.

Repeat symmetrically on the left.

These tiles are printed with a transparent blue glass slipper, Cinderella's most famous accessory. The glass slipper is in the center of the tile and surrounded by pink-metallic sparkles. The edge of the tile is framed with a blue-metallic line and ornaments.

Find 2 warm gold round bricks 1x1.

Put 1 on the leftmost knob of the arch door frame. This means it will sit next to the brick 2x2 on the left side.

Repeat symmetrically on the rightmost knob of the arch door frame.

Now, let's make two decorative flowers for Cinderella's castle.

Collect the following 4 pieces:

2 light purple flower pieces 1x1 with through-hole,

and 2 bright green round plates 1x1 with 3 leaves.

Put the 2 round plates with leaves on the table, leaves to the front.

Put the 2 flower pieces on top of the round plates with leaves.

Mount 1 flower in front of the rounded arch door pillar on the left, leaves pointing to the front right.

Put the other one in front of the right arch door pillar, leaves pointing to the front left.

Find 1 bright blue plate 2x6 with two rounded corners.

Put it horizontally centered on top of the arch door, rounded corners to the front, one row overhanging to the front.

Collect the following 2 pieces:

1 transparent raspberry red heart-shaped crystal with shaft,

and 1 warm gold plate 1x2 with 1 knob.

Put the plate 1x2 horizontally centered on the previous piece's back row.

Insert the shaft of the crystal into the knob of the previous piece. Turn the heart horizontally.

Find 1 tapered roof 2x4x2 with dormer window.

Put it horizontally centered on the row in front of the 2 previous pieces, window and shingles to the front. The cutout at the bottom of this piece perfectly matches the plate 1x2 from the previous step.

The heart crystal will peak through the dormer window! What a lovely touch.

Find 2 transparent light blue nose cones 1x1.

Put 1 to the right of the previous piece, and the other one to its left.

If done correctly, the nose cones sit on the leftmost and rightmost knob of the plate 2x6 with 2 rounded corners.

Find 2 bright blue nose cones 2x2x2.

Put 1 on the square 2x2 pillar on the left.

Repeat symmetrically on the right.

Find 2 light purple flower pieces 1x1 with through-hole.

Put them on top of the 2 previous pieces.

Find 2 transparent raspberry red magic wands with star tip.

Insert the bottom ends of the wands into the flower pieces of the previous step.

Turn the wands so that their star tips are pointing to the left and right, not towards you.

Collect the following 2 pieces:

1 warm gold harpoon spike,

and 1 warm gold streamer flag.

Put the streamer flag on top of the middle tower, streamers to the right.

Insert the bottom end of the harpoon spike into the streamer piece from the top.

Cinderella's castle is finished! Well done! Put her in the middle of the frontmost row of the base plate, and place Gus to her left. Now they are ready to welcome royal visitors to their castle!
