LEGO Audio & Braille Building Instructions for the LEGO Friends set "Heartlake City Hospital".
Autumn is visiting Heartlake City Hospital today. She’s here to have a new prosthetic arm fitted. The hospital has lots of modern technology and different areas for the staff and patients. Meet the assistant robot and the therapy dog. Ride the elevator to visit the newborn babies in the maternity ward and watch out for the helicopter as it lands on the helipad.
The box cover shows the hospital from the front on a sunny day in Heartlake City. The hospital is located in a very green area of town. It is important for patients and medical staff alike to have nice views of the greenery and be able to enjoy the hospital gardens during recovery or on their breaks! The building has a ground floor and one upper floor. The leftmost wing of the hospital is extending at an angle towards the front left. This means that the building is not arranged in one straight line but has a slight bend in it. All rooms of the hospital have large floor-to-ceiling windows to make sure that they are bright and friendly. The color scheme of the building is very typical for hospitals: it is mainly white with decoration elements in a clean turquoise shade. The leftmost hospital wing accommodates the employee break room and the area for the therapy dog on the ground floor and a rooftop terrace on the second floor. A woman dressed in a hospital gown is currently out there with two babies. There is a small heart hovering above her head. She loves her babies so much! One of the doctors is currently standing in the door of the employee break room on the ground floor, waving to someone in the distance. The break room has a smaller doggie door for the therapy dog. The room to the right of the employee break room is not visible from the hospital front, and for a good reason: it's the toilet - privacy is key. The next room that is visible from the front is the X-ray room, followed by the hospital entrance with reception. The hospital's working elevator is located on the rightmost side of the hospital, connecting the ground and second floor and ensuring accessibility to everyone. The top floor accommodates the examination room (which is located above the reception) and, to its left, the maternity ward with rooftop terrace. There is a helipad on the roof of the hospital. The hospital helicopter is actually in the process of landing! The hospital emblem, a big pink heart with a yellow heartbeat line, is mounted at the top of the hospital's facade. In front of the hospital, there is a generous driveway to make sure that ambulances but also visitors can access the hospital easily. In the current scene, Autumn and Mia are standing in front of the reception. Autumn is due to receive her prosthetic today! The assistant robot and the therapy dog are also in the driveway. It seems like they are having a little friendly race on the hospital grounds! Several hospital accessories are also visible on the box cover, such as a lilac wheelchair and a first aid kit. There are many more details to be discovered in our hospital though, so let's get started!
Open the box. This can be tricky; ask someone to help you!
The box contains a large envelope containing 2 booklets with visual building instructions and 1 sheet with 24 stickers, 9 bags with numbers printed on them and 1 loose piece (1 plate 8x16). Ask a sighted person to help you find the correct bag!
One more note on the stickers before we start building: if you want to try and attach the stickers in this set yourself, we will give you instructions where to find the stickers on the sticker sheet. For this purpose, please put the sticker sheet horizontally in front of you, making sure that the corner with the large sticker 5x6 is in the front right corner. Note that there are 2 stickers with the size 5x6, but only one of them is located directly in a corner. Alternatively, you can also decide to ask a sighted person for help or skip attaching stickers in each case. If a sighted person helps you with the orientation of the sticker sheet, ask them to turn the sticker sheet such that the thick dark-blue line is at the back edge.
