LEGO 41755 Nova's Room
LEGO Audio & Braille Building Instructions for the LEGO Friends set "Nova's Room".
Ready to play? Nova's room is dedicated to her love of gaming. Get to know Nova and Zac as they play their favorite games together. Check out the gaming PC with keyboard, neon fans, gaming chair and microphone. When it's time for a break, enjoy a drink and look at the comics. Or relax with Pickle the rescue dog. He's got his own wheels, plus a ramp to help him get onto the bed. What a lucky pup!
On the box cover, Nova's room is shown in great detail: behind a teal and purple background and a grey floor, the actual room has dark blue walls, an aqua blue floor and some bright yellow and dark purple accents. Nova is hanging out with Zac today! She is sitting in her cool gaming chair in front of her gaming PC. Her desk is located in the left half of the room right in front of a large French window. She seems to like collecting unusual and quirky decorative items: on her shelves and desk, you will find a pink frog figurine, a fake skull under a bell jar and much more. There is a stool next to her gaming chair for friends and visitors so they can game together. Currently, Zac's laptop is on the desk in front of the stool. Looks like they are getting ready for a gaming session! In the right half of the room is a bed alcove. The bed actually has a tilt function; tilting up the bed reveals a secret stash! Perfect for hiding treasures and top secret items! To Nova's left, Zac is playing with Nova's dog, Pickle! He's a rescue dog who cannot use his hind legs anymore. Therefore, Pickle has a harness with wheels to help him move around. There even is a ramp for him to get onto the bed. And guess what: there is another secret nook in Nova's room! And you will discover much more as we build. Let's get started!
Open the box. This can be tricky; ask someone to help you!
The box contains booklets with visual building instructions, 2 bags with numbers printed on them, a sheet with a total of 10 stickers, and 1 loose piece: a plate 8x16. Ask a sighted person to help you find the correct bag!
Open bag number 1 and any small sub-bags in it. This bag contains all bricks and pieces for the Nova Minidoll, Nova's dog Pickle, the workbench, the minifridge, and the desk with gaming PC.
Before you start building, ask a sighted person to help you sort the pieces by color. This makes finding the correct pieces even easier!
First, we will build the Nova Minidoll with Pickle the dog.
Collect the following 2 pieces:
1 sand blue and nougat brown pair of legs with long pants and turned up cuffs,
and 1 nougat brown and black upper body.
Put the upper body on the legs.
Collect the following 2 pieces:
1 pale ocher yellow wavy hairpiece with middle parting and shoulder-length hair,
and 1 nougat brown Minidoll head.
Put the head on the body, and put the hair on top.
Find 1 purple violet flat tile 1x2. (This piece is printed.)
Snap it into Nova's left hand.
This tile actually is Nova's mobile phone! She seems to be playing a game with a cute polymorphous character in a fantasy landscape. The screen shows two arrows for swiping left and right. Other than that, the screen shows her Wi-Fi reception and the phone's state of charge.
Now, we assemble the rescue dog Pickle.
Collect the following 2 pieces:
1 black small plastic wheel axle, (This piece is shaped like a small dumbbell.)
and 1 dark orange and bright neon yellow dog figurine with harness.
Snap the wheel axle into the 2 forks of the dog harness from the bottom.
The Nova Minidoll and the rescue dog Pickle are finished! Great job! Nova is wearing teal shoes with white soles and laces, blue pants and a black sleeveless shirt with a white collar and white cuffs. The chest print of the shirt is the silhouette of a gaming controller in neon RGB colors (so neon red, neon blue and neon yellow) with neon-yellow and neon-pink buttons and decorations. Her skin tone is pinkish beige, she has ash blonde hair and grey eyes.
Next, we build the workbench for Pickle's disability aids.
Collect the following 2 pieces:
1 white brick 1x2,
and 1 aqua blue plate 2x4.
Put the plate 2x4 horizontally on the table.
Put the brick 1x2 vertically on the rightmost column.
Find another white brick 1x2.
Put it vertically on the leftmost column.
Find 2 white bricks 1x2 with horizontal clasp on long side.
Put 1 vertically on the previous piece, clasp to the left.
Repeat symmetrically on the right, clasp to the right.
Find 1 teal blue plate 2x4.
Put it horizontally on top of the 2 previous pieces to connect them.
Next, we will make the bulletin board.
Collect the following 2 pieces:
1 pale ocher yellow wall element 1x4x3 with top knobs,
and 1 bright neon yellow flat tile 1x4.
Put the wall element horizontally on the table, panel to the back.
Put the flat tile horizontally on top.
Continue if you want to decorate this piece with a sticker now. If not, skip the next 3 sentences.
Find 1 sticker 3x4 (number 3). (This is the largest sticker in the set. Ask a sighted person to help you find and place the sticker.)
Put it on the inside surface of the panel facing you.
The sticker has a pale ocher yellow outline and a white bulletin board in the middle. There are 2 smaller post its with illegible notes on the board (a pink and a yellow one), a green flyer with the text "Game on 06 PM " and two teal-colored notes with build and repair instructions for Pickle's aids.
The bulletin board is finished! Well done! Mount it horizontally on the back row of the workbench, panel to the back. This means that if you have attached the sticker already, it should be facing you.
Find 2 pale ocher yellow plates 1x2 with 1 knob.
Put them horizontally next to each other on the front row in front of the bulletin board.
Collect the following 2 pieces:
1 silver metallic wrench,
and 1 black hammer.
Snap the handle of the wrench into the clasp on the left side.
Snap the handle of the hammer into the clasp on the right side.
Collect the following 2 pieces:

Put this tool on the right knob of the workbench.
Collect the following 2 pieces:
1 dark stone grey plate 1x1 with top clasp,
and 1 teal blue small plastic wheel axle.
Put the plate with clasp on the table.
Snap the center of the wheel axle handle into the clasp.
Mount this part on the left knob of the workbench. Make sure the wheel axle is oriented horizontally.
The workbench is finished! Well done! If Pickle's disability aids need any fixing or replacing, Nova has everything that's necessary.
Next, we will build the first half of the room with minifridge, shelves, desk and gaming PC.
Collect the following 2 pieces:
1 aqua blue plate 8x16, (This piece was loose in the box)
and 1 earth blue plate 1x8.
Put the plate 8x16 vertically on the table.
Put the plate 1x8 vertically on the rightmost column, starting from the backmost edge.
This is where we will build the back wall with large French window.
Find 2 earth blue bricks 1x2.
Put 1 vertically on the 2 backmost knobs of the previous piece.
Put the other one vertically on top of the previous piece.
Find 2 white bricks 2x3.
Put 1 vertically to the left of the 2 previous pieces, again starting from the back edge.
Put the other one vertically on top of the previous piece.
Next, we will build the minifridge.
Collect the following 2 pieces:
1 transparent light blue door 3x2 with small handle,
and 1 white cupboard 2x3x2.
Put the cupboard horizontally on the table, opening towards you.
Hold the door in front of you so that its handle is on the left and pointing towards you. You might have to tilt it a bit to the right when mounting it.
Snap the 2 small bumps on the right edge of the door into the small notches on the right edge of the cupboard opening.
If done correctly, the handle is on the left and on the outside of the fridge.
The minifridge is finished! Great job! Mount it horizontally on the 2 backmost rows, starting from the left edge. Make sure the fridge door is towards the front.
Next, we will make 2 soda cans.
Collect the following 4 pieces:
2 silver metallic round tiles 1x1, (these tiles are printed)
and 2 bright orange round bricks 1x1.
Put the round bricks on the table, hollow knobs to the top.
Put the round tiles on top of the 2 round bricks.
The round tiles are printed with the edges and the opener tabs of typical soda cans.
The soda cans are finished. You can store them in the minifridge to make sure that Nova and Zac can later enjoy a cool drink.
Find 1 teal blue plate 2x8.
Put it horizontally on the 2 backmost rows, 1 row overhanging to the left. This means that it will sit on the minifridge and the stack of bricks 2x3. If done correctly, this plate forms a level surface with the 2 bricks 1x2 on the right edge.
Next, we will make a shelf part.
Collect the following 2 pieces:
1 earth blue inverted roof tile 2x2, 45°,
and 1 earth blue brick 1x2.

Find 1 purple violet frog figurine 1x1.
Put it on the knob of the previous piece.
The shelf part is finished! Great job! Mount it on the rightmost column starting from the back, slope with frog pointing to the left. This means that it will sit on the stack of bricks 1x2 already mounted there.
Next up, we will make another shelf part.
Collect the following 2 pieces:
1 earth blue inverted roof tile 2x2, 45°,
and 1 earth blue brick 1x2.

Put it horizontally on the knob of the previous piece. Make sure the 2 holding grips are towards the front.
The shelf part is finished! Well done! Mount it on top of the previous shelf part, slope and gaming controller pointing to the left.
Next, we will prepare the base plate for the bed alcove.
Collect the following 2 pieces:
1 aqua blue plate 4x8,
and 1 black plate 1x5.
Put the plate 4x8 vertically on the table.
Put the plate 1x5 horizontally on the backmost row, 1 knob overhanging to the left. This knob will be used for connecting the base plates in the next step.
Align the front edges of the plate 4x8 and the plate 8x16. Then use the overhanging knob to connect the smaller plate to the bigger plate coming from the right.
If done correctly, the front edges of the 2 plates are flush, and the plate 4x8 is attached to the plate 8x16 on the right front side.
Collect the following 2 pieces:
1 white window frame 1x2x2,
and 1 teal blue flat tile 1x6.
Put the window frame horizontally to the left of the plate 1x5 connecting the 2 base plates.
Put the flat tile 1x6 horizontally in front of said plate 1x5, starting from the rightmost edge.
Make sure to remember this flat tile 1x6. In a much later step, we will use it to mount a slide wall!
Now, we will build the French window.
Collect the following 2 pieces:
1 transparent light blue glass for frame 1x6x6,
and 1 black frame 1x6x6.
Put the frame flat on the table, knobs pointing to the back. Make sure the groove on the inside of the frame is to the top.
Snap the glass into the frame from the top. The small bumps on the 4 corners of the glass fit into small notches on the inside of the frame.
The French window is finished! Well done! Mount it vertically at the right edge directly in front of the 2 shelf parts with frog figurine and game controller, glass panel to the left.
Next, we will build a wall corner pillar.
Collect the following 3 pieces:
2 earth blue bricks 1x1,
and 1 earth blue brick 1x1x3.
Put the brick 1x1x3 on the table.
Stack the 2 bricks 1x1 on top. Make sure their shapes align.
Mount the wall pillar directly in front of the French window. If done correctly, it will sit on the right-angled corner where the walls of the room will meet.
Next up, we will build the side wall with secret nook.
Collect the following 2 pieces:
1 earth blue brick 1x4,
and 1 earth blue wall element 1x2x3 with 2 top knobs.
Put the brick horizontally on the table.
Put the wall element horizontally on the 2 left knobs of the previous piece, panel to the back.
Continue if you want to decorate this piece with a sticker now. If not, skip the next 3 sentences.
Find 1 rectangular sticker 2x3 (number 8). (Ask a sighted person to help you with the sticker if necessary.)
Apply it to the inside surface of the previous piece's panel, this means on the panel side that is facing you.
The sticker is an elves poster. You can see a female elf with blonde hair and a pink dress facing another person, possibly another elf. There is a red silhouette heart above the two elves. It seems to be a fan poster, maybe for a book or a movie about elves that Nova likes.
Find 3 earth blue bricks 1x2.
Stack them horizontally on top of each other to make a 3-brick stack.
Put this stack horizontally to the right of the wall element with sticker.
Find 1 earth blue brick 1x4.
Put it horizontally on top.
The side wall with secret nook is finished! Well done! Mount it horizontally to the right of the wall corner pillar we have mounted earlier. Make sure the recess of the wall element (where you have attached or will later attach the sticker) is facing you. This little nook you have created here will later be covered by a slide wall. Nova is full of surprises!
Next, we will build the last of the three walls.
Collect the following 2 pieces:
1 earth blue wall element 1x6x5 with sides and top knobs,
and 1 rectangular sticker 2x4 (number 10). (If you do not want to apply the sticker now, skip the next 3 sentences. Otherwise ask a sighted person to help you with the sticker.)
Put the wall element horizontally on the table, hollow recess facing you.
Attach the sticker horizontally on the inner side of the panel, starting from the top right corner.
The sticker is dark blue just like the wall element and is printed with a small white shelf with 2 books, a small cactus and a small cloud figurine on it. There is a small garland with pink and yellow flowers printed above that shelf.
Find 1 black plate 1x2 with vertical clasp on long side.
Make sure the wall element is oriented horizontally and the hollow is facing you.
Put the plate with clasp horizontally on the 2 rightmost knobs of the wall element, clasp overhanging to the front.
Find 1 black plate 1x5.
Put it horizontally to the left of the previous piece, 1 knob overhanging to the left.
Now, turn the wall element vertically so that the overhanging knob is pointing to the back.
Mount this part vertically on the rightmost column of the room, starting from the front edge. Attention: The overhanging knob does not actually connect with the side wall at the back, that plate is merely touching said side wall. This means that there is an empty slot in the wall now. We will fill this later with a little secret. Stay tuned!
Find 3 earth blue bricks 1x4.
Put 1 vertically on wall element of the previous step starting from the front edge.
Put 1 vertically behind the previous piece.
Put the last one horizontally to the left of the previous piece. This means it will sit on top of the smaller side wall.
Collect the following 3 pieces:
1 medium lilac plate 1x1,
1 medium lilac plate 1x6,
and 1 medium lilac corner plate 1x2 - 1x2.
Put the plate 1x6 vertically on the wall with the large French window, starting from the back edge.
Put the plate 1x1 in front of the previous piece.
Put the corner plate 1x2 in front of the previous piece, its shape matching the corner of the walls.
Collect the following 3 pieces:
1 medium lilac corner plate 1x2 - 1x2,
1 medium lilac plate 1x6,
and 1 medium lilac plate 1x1.
Put the plate 1x1 to the right of the previous piece on the middle knob of the smaller side wall.
Put the corner plate 1x2 to the right of the previous piece, again making sure that its shape matches the corner of the walls.
Put the plate 1x6 vertically in front of the previous piece. This means it sits on the rightmost column and is flush with the front edge.
Find 5 bright neon yellow flat tiles 1x4.
Use them to cover the top of the walls. Continue for detailed instructions.
Put 1 vertically on top of the previous piece, starting from the front edge.
Put 1 vertically behind the previous piece.
Put 1 horizontally to the left of the previous piece.
Put 1 vertically behind the previous piece.
Put the last one vertically behind the previous piece.
Next, we will build the slide wall.
Collect the following 2 pieces:
1 black plate 1x5,
and 1 white brick 1x4.
Put the plate 1x5 horizontally on the table.
Put the brick 1x4 horizontally on the 4 leftmost knobs.

Put it to the right of the previous piece on the rightmost knob.
Collect the following 2 pieces:
1 white wall element 1x4x3 with top knobs,
and 1 rectangular sticker 3x4 (number 2). (If you do not want to attach this sticker now, skip the next 3 sentences) .
Put the wall element horizontally on the table, panel to the back.
Attach the sticker on the inner side of the wall panel facing you.
The sticker has a white background and is printed with two shelves. In the top shelf, there are 6 issues of a comic book series (it doesn't say which one) , a pink bedside lamp, and a pile of several different books (5 in total). On the lower shelf, Nova keeps her lava lamp, a framed photo of Pickle and a digital alarm clock with 2 building blocks on it. The current time is 09:08.
Mount the wall element on the 4 left knobs of the slide wall, panel to the back, sticker facing you.
Find 1 earth blue brick 1x2.
Put it horizontally to the right of the wall element, 1 knob overhanging to the right.
Collect the following 2 pieces:
1 white flat tile 1x4,
and 1 white plate 1x1.
Put the plate 1x1 on the leftmost knob.
Put the flat tile 1x4 horizontally to the left of the previous piece. If done correctly, the rightmost knob of the slide wall remains empty.
The slide wall is finished! Great job! Coming from the left, slide it on the flat tile 1x6 mounted between the walls, overhanging knob to the right. You will be able to slide this wall element from left to right. Its left top knob will function as a stopper. The brick half that is sticking out towards the right serves as a handle to pull and push the wall in the desired direction.
This wall is covering the side wall with secret nook mounted behind it! It seems that Nova wants to keep her elves poster a secret. She can also store other things in the nook, for instance her smartphone. It's always useful to have a good hiding place for valuable objects!
Find 1 white plate 1x1.
Push the slide wall to the right until the overhanging brick sticks out towards the right.
Put the plate 1x1 on the knob of the overhanging brick. Now, this side has a stopper, too, and the slide wall cannot be pushed out fully anymore.
Next, we build the desktop with gaming PC and monitor.

Find 1 black flat tile 1x2.
Put it vertically on top of the previous piece.
Collect the following 2 pieces:
1 black flat tile 1x2,
and 1 rectangular sticker 1x2 (number 7). (If you do not want to attach the sticker now, skip the next 3 sentences) .
Put the flat tile 1x2 vertically on the table.
Put the rectangular sticker 1x2 on top.
The sticker is black and is printed with the two cooling fans of the PC. They are lit up in neon RGB colors, the same color scheme that we found on Nova's t-shirt. It's a color scheme that is very popular in the gaming community.
Mount the flat tile upright vertically on the 2 side knobs pointing to the front. With this, Nova's gaming PC is finished!
Collect the following 2 pieces:
1 black flat tile 1x2,
and 1 rectangular sticker 1x2 (number 1). (If you do not want to attach this sticker now, skip the next 3 sentences.)
Put the flat tile 1x2 horizontally on the table.
Put the rectangular sticker 1x2 on top.
The sticker is black and is printed with a keyboard with neon RGB colored backing lights. This perfectly matches the color scheme of the gaming PC and of Nova's t-shirt print. A gamer girl through and through!
Mount it horizontally on the front row to the right of the gaming PC but make sure that you leave 1 knob empty between this tile and the gaming PC.
Find 1 medium stone grey half-circle tile 1x1.
Put it to the right of the previous piece, half circle to the back.
Next, we will build the monitor mount.
Collect the following 3 pieces:

Put 1 tube on the shaft of one of the 2 previous pieces, clasp to the top. Make sure that the 2 ends of the clasp are at the front and back, not at the left and right.
Repeat with the second small tube. Again, make sure that the 2 ends of the clasp are at the front and back, not at the left and right.
The monitor mount is finished! Put it horizontally behind the flat tile 1x2 mounted on the front row.
Find 1 dark stone grey shaft 4m. (4m means that this piece is about 4 knobs long.)
Snap it horizontally into the 2 clasps of the monitor mount. Make sure it protrudes symmetrically to the left and right.
Collect the following 4 pieces:
2 black square signs 2x2 with clasp,
and 2 square stickers 2x2 (numbers 4 and 5). (If you do not want to attach these stickers now, skip the next 5 sentences.)
Hold 1 square sign so that its flat surface is facing you and the clasp is at the back. Turn it so that the ends of the clasp are at the top and bottom, not at the left and right.
Put 1 of the stickers on the sign, matching its shape.
Repeat with the other sign and sticker.
Sticker number 4 shows a PC game where a pink and a white warrior are fighting each other with swords. Above their heads are their HP bars. The white warrior has almost no health power left while the pink warrior's bar is almost full. It looks like they are standing on a path in the woods with a yellow background.
Sticker number 5 shows a gaming platform. There is a video screen showing Nova while she is streaming, and to the right of that video there are two illegible text chat messages and one chat message with three hearts in it. Seems like Nova's fans like her stream today!
Snap the clasps of the signs on the left and right halves of the shaft 4m from the previous step. If you have attached the stickers already, the sign with sticker number 5 (the streaming platform monitor) is on the left, and the sign with sticker number 4 (the game screen) is on the right. But you can also choose your own order.
Next, we will assemble the webcam.
Collect the following 2 pieces:
1 transparent round plate 1x1,
and 1 black round plate 1x1 with top shaft.
Put the round plate 1x1 on the table.
Put the round plate with shaft on top.
Find 1 dark stone grey double wrench with joint. (This piece is a flat bar with clasps on both ends.)
Hold the double wrench horizontally. Snap one clasp on the shaft of the previous piece, coming from the right side.
The webcam is finished! Well done! Snap the second clasp on the center of the shaft behind the 2 monitors. Make sure the round plate 1x1 is pointing to the front. This transparent piece is the lens of the webcam.
The desktop with gaming PC and monitor is finished! Great job! Before you mount it, turn the room 90 degrees counterclockwise. Now, the room is horizontally in front of you. The walls are all at the back.
Mount the desktop horizontally in front of the large French window, 1 column overhanging to the right.
If done correctly, the desktop will lock in the slide wall at its front edge.
Open bag number 2. You can choose to have the bricks sorted by color again. This bag contains all bricks and pieces for the Zac Minidoll, Nova's bed with tilt function and ramp, as well as the gaming chair and stool.
Next, we will build the Zac Minidoll.

and 1 sticker 1x2 (number 6). (If you do not want to attach the sticker now, skip the next 2 sentences.)
Open the laptop, and put the sticker horizontally on the inner surface that is smooth (opposite of the surface with the keyboard) .
The sticker is printed with the same game as Nova's gaming monitor: a pink and a white warrior are in a sword fight on a path in the forest. The HP bar of the pink warrior is almost full, while the HP bar of the white warrior is almost empty.
Snap the laptop closed and snap its grip into Zac's left hand.
The Zac Minidoll is finished! Great job! He is wearing blue shoes with grey soles and white laces, a red pair of baggy shorts with lots of pockets, as well as a white t-shirt with blue sleeves and a cool front print: it shows a cycle system with a snooze symbol, a gaming controller and a pizza slice. Seems like Zac's life revolves around sleeping, gaming and pizza, at least if it's up to him!
Next, we will build the bedhead.
Collect the following 2 pieces:
1 black wall element 1x4x3 with top knobs,
and 1 bright neon yellow flat tile 1x4.
Put the wall element horizontally on the table, panel to the front.

If done correctly, there is an empty row to the front, to the back and to the left of this piece.
Collect the following 2 pieces:
1 aqua blue plate 2x4,
and 1 pale ocher yellow palisade brick 1x2. (A palisade brick has curved sides with 2 indentations in the middle.)
Put the palisade brick 1x2 vertically centered on the rightmost column.
Put the plate 2x4 horizontally to the left of the previous piece.
Collect the following 3 pieces:
2 aqua blue smooth curve bricks 1x2,
and 1 teal blue plate 1x2.
Put 1 smooth curve brick horizontally on the backmost row, starting from the right edge, curve to the back.
Repeat symmetrically on the frontmost row, curve to the front.
Put the plate 1x2 vertically to the left of the palisade brick between the 2 curve pieces.
Find 4 teal blue curve bricks 1x1 with protruding plate 1x1.
Put 1 vertically to the left of the curve brick at the front, curve to the front, overhanging plate to the back.
Put 1 vertically to the left of the previous piece in the same orientation.
Repeat symmetrically at the back with the 2 remaining pieces.
Find 2 teal blue curved corner pieces 2x2x1⅓ with lowered knob.
Turn 1 so that the curved corner is to the left back and the lowered knob is to the front right.
Mount it to the left of the 2 previous pieces on the left back corner of the base plate.
Repeat symmetrically at the front with the other curved corner piece.
If done correctly, the curved pieces form a smooth, seamless circumference at the front, back and left edges.
Collect the following 3 pieces:
1 white one-stepped curve tile 2x2x⅔,
1 teal blue flat tile 2x2,
and 1 teal blue plate 1x2.
Put the plate 1x2 vertically on the 2 knobs of the 2 previous pieces. This means it will sit on the leftmost column of knobs.
Put the flat tile 2x2 to the right of the previous piece.
Put the one-stepped curve tile to the right of the previous piece, curve to the left. This is the pillow!
Find 2 medium stone grey round plates 1x1.
Turn the bed upside down, but keep the horizontal orientation. This will be a bit wobbly, so be patient when attaching new bricks and pieces.
Put 1 round plate 1x1 on the front left corner of the base plate.
